Wonder if Adam has ever spotted a hot straight guy & wished said chap were gay? I've had lesbians tell me they wished I were gay. I took it as a compliment & was flattered that they found me attractive. But, of course, I've never had to fight the fight that Adam has as a gay man. I do think it's probably the younger girls who have the "if only" fantasies. I'd have to start with "if only I was 20-something again", followed by "if only I was slim again", and end up with "if only I was a cute gay guy." I wouldn't be wanting Adam to change a damn thing! He is perfection!

Loved your post, craazy. The people who make these remarks on Glee videos and the like seem very young and are often quite inarticulate. It is natural for a young girl to fantasize about going on a date with an attractive adult man. All they are saying is that it is a loss to womankind, not so different from how they might say, "Too bad he's married."

So tonight, Adam gets written out of Glee....
Most were thinking he is leaving to become that rockstar.
I am wondering, whether he is leaving because he has made it into the finals of a national talent show????
I always found that the way they wrote the last 4 episodes was telling the story of Adam's life, pre-idol. Normal, cute guy, who is into boys, tries out and sings for a band, that he does not really fit into. Even though he is by far the best, the band itself is the dream child of somebody else, and so he cannot develop his own style there. The band ends up not working out, because everyone seems to have their own agenda rather than the interest of the band at heart. Elliot is dreaming of being Starchild (or the Zodiac kid that has flames shooting out of his head), when all that other people see in him and want from him is Elliot only. Kurt does not get Starchild, and did not give Starchild any opportunities to shine either.
Adam is grabbing every singing gig he can find, but he is realizing that nothing is going to change, if he does not change the parameters of his existence. He needs to find himself a platform that is bigger than the local cafe, to get his vision out there. And so he leaves with a yellow ticket to Hollywood...or something like that.
Alright, that is my guess, at how all this will end tonight. What is yours.....?

He is perfection! IMO any phycological sensitivity is so deeply rooted in one's life experiences, so intensely individual and unique, so far from rationalization that it is impossible for anyone to fully "feel" another person. I totally agree the kids commenting "I wish you were..." are actually complementing Adam and are not realizing the inherent negative connotation. But for Adam it is such a sore "button" he seems to have difficulty perceiving it any other way.... which is very sad actually....
