I am joyful since months, because I really see something that I had not seen in previous years (with RCA):
The creation of a PLAN.
What a concept! Planning.
There is a plan to position the artist.
There is a plan to keep the artist in the media throughout the slower times (which weren't all that slow recently anyhow)
There is a plan to search for additional income opportunities for the artist.
And there are very positive signs that what will follow is a well thought out roll-out plan. I am convinced that this time there will be one.
We are in a pre-rollout phase, we are not yet seeing the actual events for a roll-out, but we are seeing that there is an element of positioning the artist going on. And I love what I see.
One part of that positioning is that Adam needs to drive an element of 'current' into his messaging, while the QAL news are going to give him tons of exposure, but obviously a less current focus. If there is a antidote available to this, then it is LMD. Does not get more current than Avicii and EDM. If that song can be played successfully around the world, or even hit a few charts, then the media will naturally report about Adam with a much more balanced overall view. Adam is so multi-talented, it is important to not have the message drift too much in one direction and limit the perception of him to only one of his skill, no matter how impressive that skill of fronting a rock band may be.
I see that as the main win for Adam with LMD. I think the song will play well in clubs, and maybe it has even more powers in it. Hope it climbs the charts, and I bet that Avicii is concerned about that too, but mostly I just hope that it is there over the early summer. And using AU and NZ as the lead in to a Northern Hemisphere summer season makes perfect sense, of course.

Scrutinizing Adam's green hair instagram photo very closely  , I think the nose ring is still there. It's not a very thick ring, and the angle is such that it's hard to see it. I think the condo photo is just such a low resolution the ring doesn't show. |
