Ha, ha! A Euphoric tweet in the middle of the night, after clubbing, probably had nothing to do with his music! I must be missing something. I don't see a tweet from him about "Euphoria" or anything else last night. ??? Did he delete it afterwards? I think its at the end of yesterday's thread if you missed it.

How does LMD being released as a single effect Adam financially? He is listed as 1 of 4 writers( Tim, Nile, Adam and Pournourni). Pournourni is listed as the Executive producer of "True". I couldn't find percentages of writing credits. Does Adam get a bigger cut of the album sales with the release of a single off the album? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Not an expert but I believe he gets a cut of every sale of TRUE, plus a cut of every sale of just LMD. OFC, there are 4 writers so I have no idea how much $$ that is. Writer/publisher mechanical royalties are not as much as people may think.Adam gets a share of the songwriting and publishing royalties for every sale of TRUE and every sale of LMD single tracks -- less what the publisher gets -- can be as high as 50% to the publisher. Major artists often have a lower rate. The credits for the track are usually in order of % -- so at best Adam has 25% share, maybe less. LMD was written by Tim Bergling (Avicii), Ash Pournouri, Nile Rodgers, Adam Lambert. In the United States, the royalties are based on a "statutory rate" set by the U.S. Congress. This rate is increased to follow changes in the economy, usually based on the Consumer Price Index. Currently, the statutory rate is $.08 for songs five minutes or less in length or $.0155 per minute for songs that are over five minutes long. So, for example, a song that is eight minutes long would earn $.124 for each recording sold. LMD album track is 5:00 long. The radio edit is shorter. So Adam gets a share of $0.08 for each single sold or album in the US. Do it your start with $0.08 - less the publisher share 40% or 50% -- then you split $0.05 or $0.06 among the writers -- so in the best case Adam gets about $0.0125 per sale. 1,000,000 units = $12,500. > iTunes is a bit higher. Some internet downloads are less. Other countries have different rates. > Avicii's payments are probably more complicated because he probably has a controlled composition provision in a contract. (If you release a song you wrote, you get 75% of the mechanical royalties.) There are also payments for radio airplay -- in the US typically from $0.06 to $0.12 per rotation -- and for other kinds of live and broadcast performance use. I simplified this a lot.

You know, I know nothing of the technicalities of music or singing. That is why I so appreciate this board, it has informed my instinctive gut reaction to Adam's singing with some real insight to the reasons he makes me feel. His strong background, his experience, his anatomy (speaking of innate assets like chest size, anatomical voice blessings here *but I DO recognize and appreciate all his other anatomical assets*), I find that knowing the process behind the performance enables me to enjoy his talent on a higher level. Realizing the work and dedication and experience that had to pair with the innate material, I admire him on another, more informed, level. He is the real deal, and the full package. *nudge, nudge*.
So when Harry Connick Jr said this at ~3:17 (not sure if the link is working, can't seem to preview the post, so here it is again: second link) last night on American Idol, I was able to add another little nugget to my technical appreciation of Adam, his rhythm. That boy feels every beat, every nuance, everything about the music. In my opinion, those moves are instinctual, unrehearsed, just a response of his whole musical self. He IS the music when he sings, he IS the lyrics when he sings. THAT is what Harry was trying to tell Jessica, but I don't know if that can be learned. IMO, you have it or you don't. Also, on this season, the judges have repeatedly stressed that they need to hear the feeling, hear the performer feeling, the song and the lyrics. Remember how Kara said she wasn't "feeling" it? I personally think that Adam actually learned from that, but in my mind, Adam strives to "feel" every single song he songs, tries to get into a place where the lyrics are entirely organic to the music and the feeling he creates for the audience. To me it is part of his magic, the ability to let me feel what he feels, just with his voice. Amazing and utterly awesome. Like every other great great singer, he draws me in, takes me away, makes me Feel. I love this boy.

I'm still of the opinion that if the judges hadn't known about Adam's musical theater background, they never would have concluded from the early performances he gave that he was "too theatrical" (Simon) or "still doing musical theater" (Kara). His audition--standing in one place, no makeup, dressed simply in dark jeans, a sweater, and a jacket--was anything but theatrical, and he always, to me, put across the meaning of the songs he sang. Kara's inability to feel it was a figment of her own imagination based on her knowledge of Adam's background.
Of course, we know now that Adam is theatrical when he wants to be and we recognize that as one of his strengths, but I think he was quite subdued in his early Idol appearances and if he'd left "Wicked" off his Idol sign-up sheet I really believe that we would have heard very different comments from the judges at the beginning when they were still getting to know Adam. They focused in on the musical theater angle and didn't try to see past it. Later in the competition they had seen enough of his talent to completely forget about that particular "drawback."

I must be missing something. I don't see a tweet from him about "Euphoria" or anything else last night. ??? I didn't see a tweet, but he posted a pic on IG (very early yesterday morning) adamlambert Euphoric instagram.com/p/m2X8SYONJl/
I don't remember seeing this -- my gut reaction is that it's not about an album name.
