Big news in Idol world. Ryan is renewing for 2 more years! I love Ryan! He really holds the show together. wow! and I thought AI is on its deathbed... I wonder if they are paying Ryan $1Mil/week to keep doing it  and as long as Adam can use AI as a platform when he needs it I am all for it! so:  |

 But pretty typical for artists to just turn it over to the label or a director. *** I actually, think it might be confusing if Adam was featured in an AVICII music video, plus was the voice behind all the Lipton Iced Tea commercials, plus did Queen, plus did Glee (which has far more reach than the ratings indicate -- very close to Idol and by some measures > The Voice), and then put out A3. Man, he has a lot going on!! Really? I would think most artists would have their own concept idea. Adam does! Seriously! when has Adam been typical of anything!?!?! Remember when Kris Allen did his LLWD music video and he arrive in Arizona and was surprised there was a big clock. He was typical. Had not reviewed concert, script, or storyboards. Adam was involved in casting his videos! |

The only times I have been able to really thoroughly enjoy AI since Season 8 have been the times Adam was on. The first couple years I think I was holding a possibly neurotic grudge, but I have really tried the past couple years to dive in and get involved; bothe years I lasted about 3 weeks before I gave up. I don't understand what the problem could be with finding solid talent in the whole country, but I swear, I hear better at my local Chicago area bars than some of the finalists on Idol. |

I don't even know what songs from True have been released as singles in the US. I did hear "Hey Brother" the other day and thought the announcer said it was a new single. May have misheard. Anyone know? If that is true, it could take forever before LMD gets release here if at all. Interesting side note about Audra Mae, who sings Addicted to You: she is the great-great-niece of Judy Garland, and a great granddaughter of Garland's sister Jimmie. I really like her singing and haven't heard of her before. |
