Only one in the ten is female. Demonstrates the voting bias or slant of Idol, but not the commercial pop scene, which is still predominantly female. I don't think we hear any of those folks on the radio regularly. These polls are click bait but not accurately reflective of what music will be bought or played, IMO. You're so right.. weird isn't it?

TALON'S TAKE / SUPPLEMENTAL I Was Born To Love You Issued as a single in Japan where it hit #45. It became more well known later on in abour 2004, after being in an advertisement. I Was Born To Love You....0% in America....25% in Japan -- It became a bit of phenomenon in Japan so I wouldn't be surprised if during the Brian/Roger mini section or perhaps the first encore we see Brian and Roger do a similar to 2005 version. I'm not as sure it wouldn't be played. Even I know this song (and until Talon's Takes I didn't know much beyond the usual greatest hits). Maybe from the advertisement? In any case I recognized this song instantly when I heard it (and sang along too).

I do not think Adam is host IHRMA. ** Queen has never had a real RS Cover. Freddie was part of the 100 Greatest Singers covers with one of those montages of 100 people. They got a Spain RS cover in 2005 and an Italian RS cover in 2008. Rolling Stone's editors were highly critical of Queen in the 1970's, and loathed them when they went electronic/disco in the 1980's. Here is an example -- RS Review of Jazz 1978... You are probably right, but I don't think you can compare the views of RS in 1978 with those of RS in 2014. Maybe someone sees it as a good opportunity to finally get Queen a cover.
So glad to hear you don't think that interview is about a hosting gig (although his adding "host" to his twitter profile has to mean something)
I posted one example -- the relationship between Queen and RS was never good -- from 1974 thru 2008. The first review in 1973 was not bad. If it was a QAL cover story, the interview would have been longer vs. part of a day of interviews. Looking at the RS Editorial calender there is no real space for a QAL cover. RS already did an article on the tour plus the Q&A. What other news is there? Why would they have the music on TV reporter cover it? In other words....there is nothing that indicates that this is even about QAL Tour, and there is nothing that indicates this is a cover. ** Maybe Adam is involved in iHRMA and maybe not -- but that is the story this reporter is working on, a story about iHRMA.

It always interests me to find out that other Queen music has made it's way into the public consciousness beyond GH! I just don't think they will play it because it's generally a Freddie solo song first even though it got Queenified. In Japan it had JUST become a hit due to some advertising etc. in 2004 so it was a really timely thing. A perfect storm if you will... But I would love to hear it :D It's one of my daughter's favorite Queen songs!

Seems highly unlikely that RS would give Queen-Adam a cover. Also David Wild is working on something about the iHR Music Awards... David Wild @wildaboutmusic 7h Getting ready to talk to @usher for @iheartradio Music Awards. pic.twitter.com/EgFPJYwFbg And he also tweeted this indicating this... David Wild @wildaboutmusic 13h I'm looking forward to sitting down with @adamlevine today. So people can FINALLY decide which one of us is The World's Sexiest Man. *** If he was working on a cover story about QAL, he would not be also doing these interviews. He also wrote this.. David Wild @wildaboutmusic 2h I want to see @adamlambert with @queenwillrock. Who's with me? pic.twitter.com/EtQEgbke44 Yes, he did. Posted by me in the opening post. But how does that turn into a cover for QAL? ** Why speculate about RS Covers? Or posting things like they will be disappointed if Adam is a host on the iHeartRadio Music Awards? >> Is this an attempt to set the bar so high that anything good that happens will be a disappointment? I am happy with any coverage he gets in RS. And if Adam gets to present an award at iHeartRadio Music Awards -- great! Unless they are releasing a secret album (and there is almost no chance of that because Adam is not "Beyonce-famous"), they are at the beginning of the promotion.

I don't think we hear any of those folks on the radio regularly. These polls are click bait but not accurately reflective of what music will be bought or played, IMO. Yes, this poll is meaningless and solely for clicks. It will probably end up being Adam and Archie, with Adam winning. It means nothing. But I admit I voted it in a few times to make sure that Adam gets clicks because just maybe it will get him more coverage down the road. While I agree with that point, pop music is not female dominated in the US or in other countries. There are a lot of female pop stars, they do not dominate CHR/Top 40 radio...for example, the current US top 10 is male dominated. Mediabase CHR Top 10 - US 1 JOHN LEGEND All Of Me 2 JASON DERULO Talk Dirty f/2... 3 PHARRELL WILLIAMS Happy 4 JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE Not A Bad... 5 KATY PERRY Dark Horse 6 AMERICAN AUTHORS Best Day O... 7 DEMI LOVATO Neon Lights 8 BASTILLE Pompeii 9 PARAMORE Ain't It Fun 10 AVICII Hey Brother Male solo artists - 5 Female solo artists - 2 All male band - 2 Band with female lead - 1 ** The poll is of people who were on Idol and did not win. Of the starting list the only one on the radio regularly int eh past 3 years is Chris Daugherty. Adam is probably #2 in radio airplay to Chris dRadio uring that period. There are other Idols on the radio regularly -- but they all won -- Phillip, Kelly, Carrie.

It was mostly on MTV. So now we know that in 1985 you were watching MTV! It charted at #76 on the Billboard chart (pre-soundscan, monitored radio stations only) so it got airplay in the US. This is from Freddie's solo album, although remixed into a Queen song for Made from Heaven (1995). This was part of the Q+PR 2005 Japan concerts -- done by Brian and Roger in an acoustic portion of the set. I agree with Talon, it could return in Japan. The odds of it being played in the US are very, very slim.

If this is addressd to me, I don't get it. I have loved a TON of stuff Adam is doing lately. I have gushed about Glee. It was a total win. The Queen stuff has gotten him a whole bunch of good press--and who is going to argue with sold out arenas. And don't we always speculate about covers??? Album 3 is on the way...lots of good stuff
I just wouldn't like an iHeart Radio hosting gig. Adam is a singer first, and I don't like the idea of him playing host and introducing his peers at something like this. He is better than that. Just my opinion. and really not a huge deal one way or another.
eta---now if he is presenting an award, that would be cool

OTT, but I am stuck at work till the tornato warning passes. Saw this on twitter and had a good laugh. It will probably be more funny to physists, chemists & engineers. barb4adam: Student Asked About “Hell” In An Exam, This Is His Priceless Answer fb.me/39vehO8rX @rickygervais Hmm, this is OLD. I remember reading a version of this while in college. ETA: And it was old then and this was before what we now consider the internet was really of much interest to the public. Ahhhhh....oh golly....well I guess the 2013 post was as you said a carry over from years past. I still enjoyed the read and the laugh I got from it. And the reminder of Neil's story of finally giving up on his two year or so unrequited love/pursuit of a gal. Then off to get laid by anyone....finding an accommodating gal, and the resultant performance problems. edit: just noticed your question mys*&@^#r after I posted this. So to embellish a few points. Neil posted this long story on his blog. After finally wrapping his head around the fact a lady he was keen on was not ever going to be romantically interested in him in, he decided he was taking a big leap. He had wasted two years or so of his university time on this "friendship" .....and he was ready to get frisky. He got some condoms organized which he did not have that much experience with, and went out on the town with one goal in mind. He found a willing gal, off to his place....there were several attempts which started off well until the condom was applied....(and he described her great support and encouragement even when things went south). She stayed the night, he drive her home the next morning feeling mortified ( and she was still nice to him). When back at his place he looked at the packaging for the condoms which said something about heat producing type (or some such term) which he feels must have warmed him too much. Basically he blamed his performance on his lack of expertise in choosing the correct type of condom. He never went out with her again.

If Adam is hosting iHeart, you can bet he would also sing. Just makes sense to me. Have no idea what the interview with RS is about but I doubt it is QAL. Nothing new to report on since that full page article. I also don't think it is an interview for something in the RS distant future. RS is too current & timely for that. The Miley interview talked about her TV performance. The Lorde article talked about the Grammys. I suspect their lead articles run with a much smaller lead time than your average magazine.
