I love for Adam to host anything. Never hurts to see his gorgeous self on TV. Can't hurt for millions of watchers to see him either. Anything RS is great too! And I will buy the "Best Of" CD if only for "Mad World" which I adore and can't get enough of. Guess it will be available on Amazon?

Snarky fun from PopJustice. There’s a best of Adam Lambert album out in May by the way Story filed by Brad O'Mance on April 29, 2014 The album is entitled ‘The Very Best of Adam Lambert’ and we can only assume it is being released with little to no endorsement from the man himself. Still, it’s Sony Legacy are storming ahead with the release which will include all the hits (we assume this is a US-only release), plus three covers from American Idol and his version of ‘Marry The Night’ from Glee. Here’s some ridiculous blurb from the album’s liner notes: “If some of these tracks feel like musical mission statements, it’s in their skillful fusion of mainstream pop and rock with left-of-center, if not underground, musician and pop-cultural markers, and their clear conviction towards that mission. And it that’s not the hallmark of an artist who’s unfailingly true to himself… well, you are invited to listen to some more until you get it.” Here’s the full tracklisting: 1. Mad World (American Idol Performance) 2. One (American Idol Performance) 3. Tracks of My Tears (American Idol Performance) 4. Time For Miracles 5. For Your Entertainment 6. Whataya Want From Me (“NOT A FLAMMED-TOGETHER CASH-IN HITS COLLECTION”) 7. If I Had You (Radio Mix) 8. Aftermath (AS IN ‘IN THE AFTERMATH OF ADAM LEAVING HIS LABEL, THEY CHUCKED OUT A DODGY BEST-OF’) 9. Can’t Let You Go (HE LEFT THE LABEL BY MUTUAL AGREEMENT) 10. Trespassing (Radio Edit) 11. Never Close Our Eyes 12. Better Than I Know Myself 13. Runnin’ 14. Marry The Night (Glee Cast Version) Source: www.popjustice.com/thenews/theres-a-best-of-adam-lambert-album-out-in-may-by-the-way/126691/#ixzz30HvFTGeG

wowow...this is one annoying twist by USA Today : Adam Lambert to release compilation album on May 27www.usatoday.com/story/life/music/2014/04/29/adam-lambert-to-release-compilation-album-on-may-27/8454767/Sorry, fans. Adam Lambert doesn't have new music to offer, yet, but he is releasing a compilation album, according to Billboard. And it's not just any old greatest hits album, it's The Very Best of Adam Lambert (out May 27). It'll include three Idol performances, like his covers of Mad World by Tears for Fears and One by U2. Lambert's rendition of Lady Gaga's Marry the Night from his Glee episode rounds out the 14-tune album. He's also set to go on tour with Queen this summer. Tracklist: ..... ---------------------------- a much better reporting here: radio.com/2014/04/29/adam-lambert-best-of/#.U1-4rg0KgYU.twitterAdam Lambert ‘Best Of’ Compilation Due in May
By Brian Ives It’s been nearly a year since Adam Lambert announced that he was parting ways with RCA Records over “creative differences”– namely, RCA wanted him to do an album of ’80s covers that he simply wasn’t interested in. Now, The Hollywood Reporter reports that RCA’s parent company, Sony Music, will issue The Very Best of Adam Lambert, on May 27. And while Lambert’s two-album catalog may seem a bit thin for a “very best of,” the album will also drawfrom his time on American Idol and Glee. His Idol performances of Tears for Fears‘ “Mad World,” U2‘s “One” and Smokey Robinson‘s “The Tracks of My Tears” will be included on the album, as will his take on Lady Gaga‘s “Marry the Night,” from Glee. One other non-album track is included: “Time For Miracles,” from the soundtrack to the 2009 film 2012. Meanwhile, Lambert has been working on his next album with Swedish hit maker Max Martin. In June, he’ll kick off a tour with the members of Queen, where he will be filing in for the band’s late singer.

Yes, he did. Posted by me in the opening post. But how does that turn into a cover for QAL? ** Why speculate about RS Covers? Or posting things like they will be disappointed if Adam is a host on the iHeartRadio Music Awards? >> Is this an attempt to set the bar so high that anything good that happens will be a disappointment? I am happy with any coverage he gets in RS. And if Adam gets to present an award at iHeartRadio Music Awards -- great! Unless they are releasing a secret album (and there is almost no chance of that because Adam is not "Beyonce-famous"), they are at the beginning of the promotion. Woah!
If this is addressd to me, I don't get it. I have loved a TON of stuff Adam is doing lately. I have gushed about Glee. It was a total win. The Queen stuff has gotten him a whole bunch of good press--and who is going to argue with sold out arenas. And don't we always speculate about covers??? Album 3 is on the way...lots of good stuff
I just wouldn't like an iHeart Radio hosting gig. Adam is a singer first, and I don't like the idea of him playing host and introducing his peers at something like this. He is better than that. Just my opinion. and really not a huge deal one way or another.
eta---now if he is presenting an award, that would be cool
No, not you -- it was a general comment. Within 10 minutes of the Adam tweeting the photo I read posts online on Twitter and other sites about Adam making his label announcement or releasing a secret album. Within 10 minutes of David Wild's Tweet it was the cover of Rolling Stone or the closing performance of iHR Music Festival. I am just tired of this fan-induced roller coaster -- rumor of something, weighing of complete hypotheticals, huge expectations getting put out there, then when we find out what it is and it is really good, and fans are disappointed. Regarding your comment about not wanting Adam to host the iHRMA, not sure how that could be a bad thing but equally not sure why think about something that seems about as likely as Adam going to the moon. Why would an awards show keep the host secret? ** I would like to be excited about something good without any angst for at least the first few hours. To me this is exciting because it is the first sign that maybe promo for Adam is starting. Yes, Shoshanna is in LA but she has not said anything about this being related to Adam. Shoshanna's firm has other clients involved with iHRMA -- Shakira, Pharrel, John Legend. So she could be in LA for the press rounds associated with this event (May 1). There is no indication that this interview involved iHRMA beyond the fact that David Wild interviewed Usher about the iHRMA yesterday. It appears that Adam and David must have talked about QAL because David tweeted about the tour after the interview. But QAL would come up in any interview with Adam -- one about his new album, one about iHRMA, one about something else. It is a big deal.

I didn't realize that this RS David Wild guy wrote the script for VH1 Divas, the Grammies, and other things. Here's another possible scenario.....remember it's all just speculation at this point.
FROM IDF:
"Re the photo and David Wild tweet...it looks like the interview, or whatever it is, is being recorded, see the microphone. I suppose its possible this is something for RS, but more likely Adam is taping a blurb about music or an artist or something for the iheart radio awards. David Wild writes for all of the music award shows. He was the guy who wrote the skit and Adam's dialogue for the Vh1 Divas show; he writes for the Grammy's, for the AMAs, for all of the country award shows; he wrote for Kelly O when she hosted the NewNowNext Awards. That is most of what he does, along with contributing to RS and other music publications. He also spoke with Usher and Adam Levine the same day, and said that Usher was w/r/t iheart awards, which are on Thursday. So my guess is that Adam is either presenting, or was making a little video blurb for the iheart awards show on Thursday."
