I agree anyone cast as Teen Angel is going to be compared to Taylor Hicks but if it is someone from Idol, the comparisons will be intense. Yes, Davy Jones! played this part and so did Robin Cousins and Darlene Love. Everyone does something different with this song/part. *** Put me on team Adam = Danny and I do not think that is happening.  |

Except that Taylor Hicks toured with that role. Folks were snickering, saying that it was quite a drop down from Idol winner. Don't want that comparison for Adam. But, what do I know? IMO this would be different because: 1. Many of those snickers, in all honesty, come from glamberts and are handed out to all idol fans of NAL's...with the possible exception of Kelly.... how would it have been glamberts laughing at Hicks when he began the role in 2008, long before there ever were glamberts? |

IMO this would be different because: 1. Many of those snickers, in all honesty, come from glamberts and are handed out to all idol fans of NAL's...with the possible exception of Kelly....2. What msp said...this is a one off cameo, not a touring gig. If Adam did it, he would be brought in as one of very few stars/musicians who could carry off both the singing and the camp. 3. There will always be snickerers... .they live to ridicule others as they do not have the balls to do that sort of thing themselves. It is what it is....I have to admit the fellow in that vid above did a really good job! eta...did not mean Taylor Hicks...I like him OK but the other young fellow was much better....lol My recollection was that the criticism of Taylor was isolated and really only on a couple of Idol blog sites. The criticism of Taylor taking a cameo role in a Broadway show (which is a running engagement vs. a 1 time TV show) came from Idol fans who thought it was a sign that Taylor's career had faltered because it was on the heels of RCA dropping him after 1 album. The criticism did not come from "Kelly" fans, not their style. And since it was in the end of 2007-2008, Adam was not known yet. On #3:Sometime a critical observation or a sincere concert -- like: Taylor does not have a fit with current music, radio, surprised he is doing this -- is valid and is not ridiculing. That was the tone of the comments I recall -- and I was a Taylor fan when he was on Idol. But I agreed with the concern raised at the time. Taylor won Idol in 2006 on the top-rated season (over 30 million viewers). He was hugely popular. 18 months later he agreed to do a cameo role in the revival of Grease which was scheduled for a short run on Broadway then a national tour. It was nothing like what had happened to past winners -- Kelly, Ruben, Fantasia, Carrie all had solid to great recording careers and radio airplay. |

Need ninja assistance. Adam did a radio appearance/interview where he talked about his addiction to chocolate and shivered with pleasure at the thought. I need that video to show my cousin who owns a gourmet chocolate store near Chicago, and who is going to the concert with me. Anyone have that link?

I think mszuse was saying that glamberts are critical of everyone NAL except Kelly not that Kelly fans were critical of Taylor. |

We knew we needed to up-date our older desk top XP system, but this reinforces it. I use chrome...and occasionally IE...not sure what DH uses...so called him and told him to use chrome...do not touch IE on that one computer. (all my favorites/pictures of Adam are on it!) Help and advice needed.
Questions: Is it now best to not have him do this transfer ...ie. enter IE, while the virus problem exists??? If we do not enter IE.... is data safe? How soon do we need our techie? We have a back-up system, that kicks in most nights. I want everything on disc to transfer to a new computer up-dated system. I am waiting for true Adam news to break...getting to old to get fuss over what if's...just wanna see that smiley face in the media.

Internet Explorer 6 - 11 won't be safe until Microsoft releases a patch either out of bound or on patch Tuesday (second Tuesday of every month). It's been recommended to use Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox until then.
