This is just a catch-up post because I haven't been on here for awhile now - RL has been kicking my butt! We had a monster thunderstorm the first week in April & lightning struck my cousins' house & it totally burned. Left a few walls standing not much else. They got out with the clothes on their back & their 2 cars & the dog (thank God!). We've been trying to get them settled into a new house & help them get their lives back together. It's been a real nightmare but it sure makes you put things in perspective & count your blessings! My biggest blessing (aside from the fact that my cousins are safe) is QAL!!! In only 2 months, LA & Vegas will be happening!!! I'm so excited I can hardly stand it! WOO HOO!!!! Loved the iHeart Radio Awards - just wish Adam could've had new music to sing. Hate that he's not on Glee any more & I sure hope they bring Elliott back next season. And now we just have to wait for A3 to be finished & released.....and I'm looking forward to seeing his next hair color.  Ginger, so sorry to hear about your cousins. But glad the important things survived!  |

I actually just read on Yahoo that 20th Century Fox has said Naya was not fired from Glee, that she remains on contract. If you remain on contract, but have been written out of all remaining episodes, isn't that almost essentially the same thing as being fired? The remaining contract I guess is a golden-ish parachute. But if you're forced off the set, I presume you essentially don't exist. I guess an equivalent would be if they had the 6-ep contract for Adam in place and then Ryan Murphy suddenly changed his mind about the Eliott character. Adam would probably get paid (at least something) because everyone already signed the contact. But he would have never "been on" Glee.
OT WARNING -I guess the competition between Rachel and Santana were not only on the screen, and it got Naya fired from Glee (so the rumor said  ). So I don't know what's so special about Leah I think she cracked her voice twice when she was singing with Adam. One of them was in Gloria.

Mys*&@^#r - thank you so much  A little OT, but concerns the music business: I saw this 2 1/2 hour film on TV this week called Artifact. It's about 30 Seconds to Mars' legal battle with their record label (EMI). This is Jared Leto's group & of course the film is mainly a showcase for their music, but there was alot of really interesting information about record label contracts. For those of you interested in such things, I highly recommend seeing this film. It was on the Palladia channel but MTV or VH1 may air it too.

New season of The Voice Australia started tonight - reminding me once again that Adam has ruined me for most other singers... Hoping it improves. Probably will they always save the best to later in blind rounds. So true. Sigh . . . |

I sincerely doubt any tension between the two actresses got Naya fired. Writing an actress/character out of episode that has already been written and likely had started pre-production is usually costly. Her record label also reportedly dropped her this week. Rumors do have Lea being rather chilly rep but Naya has developed a volatile one (from when she reportedly slashed the tires of a co-star she had reportedly dated). I don't know the truth but the immediacy of the action suggests that Naya ticked off someone with a heck of a lot more power than Lea. I love Adam and loved him on Glee but sometimes that set sounds crazy. Being a guest star with the possibility, but not obligation, to return is probably an ideal place for him to be. |
