If they thought she had no future commercial value they would drop her. Sony has a lot of money invested in her third album and I think they are probably trying to figure out how to get some value from it.

Not one good piece of music involving Jordin has been released since 2009 -- and there has been some music released. Everything indicates that the music is not good and she has committed most of her time to acting and being Jason Derulo's girlfriend.

RCA promoted a single in 2011 it peaked at #82. And RCA pushed back her album.

The release two more promo singles in 2011 ....no interest....they sent her back to the drawing board.
"The World I Knew"
"Angels Are Singing"

RCA released 3 promo singles in 2013, trying to relaunch Jordin...no interest.....once again they pushed the album back.
"Skipping a Beat"
"11:11 (Wish)"
"This Is My Wish"

Now they say they are gearing up to release an album.

This may be bad for Jordin, but it is also really bad for RCA. Looks like they have paid her a full advance, and have paid for two albums to be produced and recorded with no sales.

Here are the key dates.

2010 - RCA executed their option and pay Jordin an advance.

October 2010 Sparks revealed she had begun working on her third studio album.

January 2011, it was reported that Sparks and John Legend were working on songs together in the studio.

May 5, 2011, it was revealed that Sparks' would release a non-album single titled "I Am Woman". To support her new single, Sparks served as an opening act for the NKOTBSB summer tour.

On May 12, 2011, Sparks performed "I Am Woman" on the American Idol Top 4 results show. It debuted on the US Billboard Hot 100 at number eighty-two with 33,000 downloads sold. More promo but the song went nowhere.

August 9, 2012, Sparks stated in an interview with Billboard, that she had about seven songs set so far for her third album. Sparks stated "It's going to be different from what my fans have heard before. With (2009's) 'Battlefield' it was pop/rock and a little bit of pop/R&B, but I'm going for more of the R&B side now, so it's like R&B/pop instead of pop/R&B." In an interview with MTV, Sparks confirmed she had recorded a duet with Jason Derulo and it would be on the album, and could serve as a potential single.

May 2013, Sparks took to Twitter announcing that she and RCA Records have finally came to an agreement with releasing new material. Sparks asked her fans to email her their opinions and frustrations regarding the delay in the release of her third studio album. A few days following the meeting, Sparks announced that her new music will be released in the fall of 2013.

August 1, 2013. "Skipping a Beat" was officially released on August 1, 2013. The buzz single became available for download on August 13, 2013.

Sparks was featured on Jason Derulo's third studio album, Tattoos, which was released on September 24, 2013. Sparks and Derulos' duet is titled "Vertigo". It was announced that Sparks' third album has officially been completed and is awaiting release, however it was later announced that new music from Sparks would not be released until early 2014 due to timing issues with acting projects. As well as placement issues within her label RCA.

December 9, 2013 Sparks partnered with Glade and the Young People’s Chorus of New York City to release a brand new Christmas holiday anthem titled "This Is My Wish." From December 9, 2013 till December 31, 2013 the song will be made available for free download through Glade's official website. Sparks has since made her first televised performance of the song on the same day on The Today Show.[102]

As of May 2014, there has still been no official release or announcement regarding Sparks' third album.

Z100 is one of about 10 Top 10 stations spinning ATL but not many spics, and mostly late night and overnight when the audience is small.

I am not expecting LMD to be released in the US and Canada as a single. I am expected ATL to be the next single promoted to Top 40 radio.

Q3: You've mentioned before that you don't expect LMD to be released as a single in N. America. Will you remind us why? Was it something about the disco/Euro sound not doing well in US/Canada?

I think I remember your saying, too, that it's Avicii's so not to worry, it's not a loss for Adam if it's not played. Am I remembering any of this correctly?

I think that Avicii's next US single will be ATL -- and his singles last a long time. That will last until November 2014 and then they will move to Avicii's next album. It is not even clear yet that they will invest in promoting another single in the US/Canada.

IMO LMD is nice for Adam but is not reflective of his music. He is already well known in the US and Canada. So being an uncredited vocalist on a single really does little for him.

Adam's future path will be determined by his own music. And we know it is being made for Pop radio -- because he is working with Max Martin.

My opinion is not unique to me but shared by everyone I know in the music business.
