I don't think Peter Pan is going to be a hit on TV.. It's pretty old fashioned and unless they change the story and songs drastically,It's bound to go the way that THe Hills are Alive went.. IMHO many Kids today are very sophisticated,into sex appeal,and being out there. Can't they come up with a musical that is more current for pete's sake.. ah man, I've got to chime in. I think Adam looks EVERY.BIT his age if not older with the facial hair. Clean shaven, I agree that he could pass for his late twenties...so I guess I agree with seoulmate.
I think there are many more suitable actors for Peter Pan.

Perhaps the whole Peter Pan thing I have is because I want Adam to shave!

By the way. if NBC does it like the 1950's version, I agree it will be boring and old fashioned. But if they do the Peter Pan story with staging like the Lion King on Broadway or some of the other modern stage musicals (Wicked) and cast Peter with an adult male lead who is glittery, then it will not be old fashioned.
It is really a timeless story. And a wonderful story.
Also, the whole Tinkerbell as a flicking light silliness has to just go away!!

Just because they had a lot of viewers doesn't make it good.IMHO it was awful and I was one of the 22 million who watched it . It was terrible! I watched a lot of it. Kind of like watching a car wreck. If you do not want Adam to be Peter Pan, then be happy Carrie was in TSOM because they will not go Idol 2 times in a row. |

I vote for South Pacific. It has some modern themes. Fun songs. Tattoos. And I would drool if Adam sang "Younger than Springtime" although they might have to think about changing the "gayer than laughter" lyric.
I think they could tweek it just a little bit and would feel quite modern.

OT but Josh Kaufman on The Voice just did one of the best vocal performances I have ever seen on a TV talent contest. Amazing.
