I wonder how they determine what station you're responding to and in what geographical area you are in? I can listen to WAXQ when I leave work, but there's no reception at my home - have to switch to WNNJ which focuses on "the tri-state" region of NW Jersey, PA and NYS (as in Warwick, not NYC). Same number to text to, same key-word - although there are some different hours when announced.

ACK! I don't like the new shorter pants on men. They all look like they are wearing someone elses pants - a shorter someone else. Not a flattering look for anyone, IMO. I feel the same about crop pants on women. They just look odd. |

Uh, looks like NBC is testing out a new variety show this month.....starring Maya Rudolph. It is considered a special, but may be a pilot for a series. When I saw the ad for it, of course I thought, 'Hey, that should be Adam's gig!' shoshanna's tweets pretty much put a damper on the dream of adam on a regular tv show. I think it is kind of stupid she would even say "that's not really his thing". Seems to me Adam is the never say never type. She also tweeted no more QAL concerts, then they announced 3 in Asia. And she tweeted no European tour. Then she just tweeted that there might be a few more. And the rumors our that QAL will do 3 more concerts after Asia -- ending in London. So I take Shosh's tweets as the best info she has now. *** And yes, my post was inspired by that NBC Promo. Adam >>>> Maya Rudolph! JMHO! Where are the other 2 concerts rumored to be? |

Adam's performance of I Can't Make You Love Me at Upright Cabaret was the song that made me fall in love with him when I first discovered it over 5 years ago.Like many of you, I found myself looking for pre idol stuff--just wanting to know everything I could possibly find out about this incredible singer. When I first heard this song, I just kept staring at this young man,wondering how anyone could expose the depths of pain in his soul with such beauty and intensity. And then---when he appears to wipe a tear from his eye at the end--I just lost it myself as I sat at my computer and had the feeling that somehow, my life would never be quite the same again.And, how right I was!!! Exactly!! This is the song that sent me down the Adam Lambert rabbit hole. Even now, when I listen to it, I just cry. The intro, the voice, the emotional connection. Oh my!! Josh from the voice did a great rendition of this song. However, Adam's version is just so raw and so..... real. Josh's version is a performance on TV. Adam's version is a personal rendition of where he was at that time. Adam's version just grabs at my heart strings and is just so much more vulnerable. It's brings tears. Kudos to Josh for a great performance. Bow down to Adam for bringing me to my emotional knees. J/S |
