What is Adam up to?
We know he is alive because he liked a couple photos on Instagram. But beyond that, not a peep since the iHeartRadio Music Awards.
<Waves to Adam! Hey, we know you are busy but how about a tweet or two!?!?>
Today's message for NBC!

OK, yesterday I offered up an idea that I thought would help you out. Well, it did not go over so well -- at least not here. So I have decided to make a new ratings generating idea for you. How about a variety show produced by Mark Burnett starring Adam Lambert for Fall 2014! And why not run it on Wednesday nights at 8:00PM Eastern Time. Yes, let Mark Burnett have the time slot directly against Idol's performance show.
Just cancel "Revolution" or move it to a different time slot. Last week it only brought in 4.72 million viewers and a 1.4 key demo rating. You can beat this!
Now, off course, Adam needs a full hour and it needs to be LIVE!! (OK, add the obligatory delay.)
Yes, I think we need a cool set, some couches for hanging out and interviews, and performances from real venues and fashion and style. And Adam singing on every show. I have no doubt that with a proper budget and great guest, The Adam Show could smash the ratings that "Revolution" did.
What do you think?
One more reason why I love him!

Adam on Extra for about 10 secs introing the show! From IHeart red carpet! Woo hoo!
Noëlle ♐ @adamgasm1982
Just saw Adam in his green suit on the iHeart Red Carpet on Extra & he said: "Hi, I'm Adam Lambert & you're watching Emmy nominated Extra."
OT but so good I wanted to make sure you heard this!

Last night, on The Voice performance show there was one outstanding performance. It is by Josh Kaufman who is an amazing stylist and vocalist, and about as different as a singer can get from Adam. So trust me, take a listen.
As of 2:00AM Eastern time, the studio version was #5 on iTunes.

The 2014 "Part-of-the-World" Queen + Adam Lambert Tour Countdown!
5.5.14 by Q3
The countdown moves on and the start of this epic tour gets closer. Only 45 days to go!
#44 Father to Son (written 1971, released 1974)
Written by Brian May.
Recorded August 1973 at Trident Studios, London
Released on Queen II on March 8, 1974.
“Father to Son” was performed by Queen throughout 1972, and possibly in 1971. It was written when the songs for their first album were written but not released until Queen II.
It is an early power ballad with heavy metal sections. It is an early example of the complex songs and multitrack guitar choruses that would become emblematic of Queen. I am not expecting this song to be play during the upcoming tour. I included it in this countdown for two reasons:
1. This is the music that I first heard Queen perform, technically the second song because it was preceded by “Procession” on their 1974 setlist.
2. I would love to hear what Adam + Brian + Roger could do with this song now.
3. OK 3 reasons – I know that I will not be the only Queen fan in the audience attended those early Queen concerts. This would be a most surprising, most welcome treat for anyone who was lucky enough to have seen this song performed (frighteningly) about 40 years ago. It also would undoubtedly be a treat for anyone who never got to hear it live.
"[The Who and Led Zeppelin are] probably in there somewhere. They were our favourite groups among a few others. But what we were trying to do differently from either of those groups really was this sort of layered sound. See, The Who had a sort of 'clang' guitar sound – you know, the open chord guitar sound. There is a bit of that in 'Father To Son', but our sound is sort of more based around the overdriven guitar sound, which is what is used on the main bulk of the song. Also, what I wanted to do was this business of building up textures behind the main melody lines. So you have in the first entry of the vocal behind it there is a sort of orchestral thing, which is a nine-part guitar thing that was my expedition into sort of proper orchestrating of the guitar. So that was one thing.
It's amazing how few people knew what we were doing. We wanted to make a kind of rock music that still had the power of, like, The Who or Led Zeppelin but which had more melody, more harmony, and more texture than had been done before. That was one of the first songs we did it on and there's lots of harmonies, lots of guitar harmonies and lots of bits of melody, you know."

"Father to Son" combines heavy metal sections with a quiet piano part played by Brian. It also includes Brian on multi-tracked guitar. The song covers a two-octave range split between Freddie (G3-A4) and Roger (G4-A5).
Musicians:
Freddie Mercury - lead and backing vocals, piano
Brian May - acoustic & electric guitars, piano, backing vocals
John Deacon - bass guitar, acoustic guitar
Roger Taylor - drums, backing vocals
Produced by: Queen and Roy Thomas Baker

"Father to Son" Live
Queen added "Father to Son" to their live setlists immediately and toured extensively, but the song was dropped from the setlists in 1975 but played two times in Japan in 1976.
"Intro- Procession/Father To Son" [More Lost BBC Sessions (2011)]
ALBUM: [Queen] In The Mirror Again. More Lost BBC Sessions.
In Concert From Golders Green Hippodrome, London, September 13, 1973
01. Alan Black Introduction
02. Procession
This is the earliest professional recording of the band. It was also the first Queen bootleg and sold on vinyl in head shops and independent record stores in the US, UK and many other countries in early 1974 and for many years later. Most of these bootleg copies were poorly manufactured and had a lot of pops and hisses.
This concert and many other early Queen recording were released on one of the most exquisite bootlegs ever created: The Lost BBC Sessions – 4 vinyl records, 3 CDs and a DVD. www.queenonstage.com/mywebpage/thelostbbcsessionslp_cd_dvd.htm

Father to Son
A word in your ear
From father to son
Hear the word that I say
I fought with you
Fought on your side
Long before you were born
Joyful the sound
The word goes around
From father to son to son
And the voice is so clear
Time after time it keeps
Calling you calling you on
Don't destroy what you see
Your country to be
Just keep building on the ground
That's been won
Kings will be crowned
The word goes around
From father to son to son
Won't you hear us sing
Our family song?
Ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba
Now we hand it on
But I've heard it all before
Take this letter that I give you
Take it sonny hold it high
You won't understand a word that's in it
But you'll write it all again before you die
A word in your ear
From father to son
Funny you don't hear
A single word that I say
But my letter to you
Will stay by your side
Thru' the years
Till the loneliness is gone
Sing if you will
But the air you breathe
I live to give you
Father to son father to son
Father to son father to son
Joyful the sound
Word goes around
Father to son to son
Kings will be crowned
Earth goes around
Father to son to son
Joyful the sound
Word goes around
Father to son to son
Kings will be crowned
Earth goes around
Father to son to son
