'Saulibert Forever Pearl 10m Top 5 costliest concerts in Las Vegas this summer shar.es/Sdw8E via @reviewjournal (Queen & Adam mentioned)' Top 5 costliest concerts in Las Vegas this summer By JASON BRACELIN LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL "So, how much would you pay for an up-close-and-personal view of Cher’s heart-shaped pasties when she comes to the MGM Grand in a few weeks? Well, you may have to hock Grandpa’s gold dentures in order to afford choice seats, but it’ll be totally worth it, right? When it comes to the most expensive concert tickets for shows this summer, Cher is not alone in demanding top dollar for the best ducats. These aren’t tickets on the resale market or VIP packages either, but “premium” seats whose price is reflective of actual face value. So, just what are the costliest tickets in town in the upcoming months? Here’s the top five: 5. Aerosmith, Aug. 7, MGM Grand Garden arena, $695 4. Queen + Adam Lambert, July 5 and 6, The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel, $801.873. Cher, May 25, MGM Grand Garden arena, $891 2. Lady Gaga, July 19, MGM Grand Garden arena, $1,345 1. Billy Joel, June 7, MGM Grand Garden arena, $1,450" Why couldn't QAL be in the MGM Grand? I believe they could have sold out the concert.

MGM Grand on 4th of July weekend is not an easy sellout for anyone.
***
I am so glad that they are at the Hard Rock --- it is a much better venue, designed for rock music, and many, many Adam fans will be in the audience. Plus we get 2 shows.

My favorite Idol performances tonight and my ranking were:
1) Caleb - loved all 3 performances, especially the 3rd! (Sorry Q3, I was too into the performance to hear the issues you heard.) 2) Jena - loved her 1st & 3rd performances, especially the 3rd which was the best of the entire night! 3) Jessica - loved her 3rd performance, really suited her! 4) Alex - his 3rd performance was his best, but I'm just not into his style.
I rather like this judging panel. IMHO they are giving really good advice, most of the time (but not always). Even JLo has stepped up her game. And they get along really well.

That's how I see it too! As far as judging, anything is better than last year but they do give some very needed advice even if I don't always agree!

The judges are trying to give her information to help her. And they are totally right! While her vocals are great, she is not picking songs that she can really embody with her personality to give a really great performance. But they just let Jena off without any negative comments -- and she was off key. I swore off Idol, and I am not sure why I am watching again. BUT since Adam is doing NOTHING. If you want to comment about Idol tonight, I am making it an open topic!! I probably don't have the ear that you do, but I loved what Jena did with her last song tonight. Actually, I thought all 4 of them did their best on their 3rd songs of the night.

I'm not participating in the iheart radio contest this time but if it is like the music festival contest last year then the key word is the same all over the country at the same time regardless of time zone. So if a thread is started in the members only and if someone posts the word all who want to participate will have about 15 minutes to text.
The times a keyword is given changed at the weekend.

Has Adam said anything about Idol lately? He usually chimes in about now!

It sounded lower in key than the Gaga's version, but I do not have a good enough ear to tell if it was actually off of the intended key. But it sounded kind of lack-luster to me. And I thought Jena's 3rd song was the best of anyone's the entire night.
