Congratulations Conchita!  Yay! This was actually the first year I had fun with Eurovision, between Atop and twitter. Thanks! Now Adam, DO something, tweet something, sing another Wildest Moments, and post the complete song, give us a hint about A3, please? I promise I will stay on topic then. And Q3, I did think about my wish for a cover for Adam with Queen, but I just can't decide. My shortlist now are Nothing else matters - Metallica, Basket case - Green day and Otherside - Red hot chili peppers. But that's mainly because I like these songs, not really because I want Adam to sing them. Maybe somebody else has an idea? Would love to hear them! Actually, my deepest wish is that they will do something that allows Adam to improvise, and just let him create something new out of any existing song, since he is not going to use these awful backing tracks in this tour. |

Well that was just an awesome show to watch....I had a bunch of stuff to do today and gave up and sat to watch the Eurovision show...every minute!! I love that each country has equal votes and cannot vote for its own singer....that is perfect. and Conchita was terrific...and humble...winner. Very exciting! Trust France lol....hehe.... Now I want to another lifetime so I can live a few years in at least half of the countries taking part in that contest....  |

was she the best singer? the best song? the best beard? does the jubilation have political overtones? if the latter - I am all for it! I remember seeing her in the pictures at the Life Ball, so now I know she is a singer!
I have to say I don't really like beard either on a man or on a woman...  , even though both my DS and Adam sport one... |

I think part of the winning formula is - everyone knows it is an artificial figure, but presented very honestly.
There is no artifice in Conchita. It is clearly not Tom, very clearly Conchita, but not made up (yes that sounds strange, but it is about perception, not the actual makeup). Honest and up front but there is no fake and no Attention getting anywhere ... IMHO. Which is strange since o/c the whole concept of Conchita was to garner Attention -I think. - Maybe I'm confused or I saw too many interviews.
