Mellie, the variety show discussion was in an article about Neil Patrick Harris where he said he'd be interested in doing a weekly variety show, an updated Ed Sullivan show. I hope he gets to do it. I'm sure Adam would be a regular guest for both music and skits. I'd watch NPH. He's done great hosting and performing at various awards shows. |

Just in case people want to remain unspoiled concerning the song choices on tonight's Idol, I won't copy them here, but I'll point out that both Alex and Jena are singing songs that we've heard Adam sing before, so there isn't any reason why Adam couldn't be paired with either Alex or Jena on the finale. If there's one thing Adam is, it's versatile, and I honestly think he could fit his style to anyone. Idol Song Choices |

Caleb actually reminds me of Chucky when he grins - he looks positively cartoon evil. He's an idiot but he has a good voice. He could end up in a duet with Meatloaf or Jack Black but only if he stops at Top 3. If he's in the Top 2 they will go into overdrive on image re-work just in case he wins and they have to release a cd with him. In that case, a super-duet partner will be in order.
As for Adam, I can't see a solo in a million years. Idol doesn't stray far from current Top 10 singles and duets with the contestants in the finale.
There are duets with most of the Top 10. A couple of the others might do well with him.

Several contestants in the Top 10 have mentioned that Adam is their favourite or one of their favourites. He could duet with one of them (well not the country singers like Dexter, CJ or Jessica) but MK Nobilette, Majesty Rose...
ETA: thanks for the song spoilers murly  Looking forward to tonight. As for next week, Adam can sing with almost anyone and make them look good. |

My family, in Asheville, are coming over to watch Caleb 's visit to our hometown with us this evening on AI..I'm really moved that Caleb/AI will be putting Asheville on TV. Our town is really something special and so is Caleb. I don't know if they will show the mayor ,but she is one of my daughter's friends... Now if Caleb can get Adam to someday do a concert here.... OMG that would be 6 degrees of separation . Very exciting for your city. Sounds like a great time.  thanks |
