Sorry to change the subject but I would love to get a little help. I am looking for quotes raving about Adam's voice from big names. I thought there was a collection on the Vocal Masterclass thread but didn't see it. Anybody have their own private collection or where it might be on Atop? adamtopia.com/thread/669/saying-vocalsIn the Salon, under "People are Talking about..."

I was not a fan of Adam's nickname for the backup singers. It was somewhat offensive to me. However, I was very much a fan of how he talked about them being beautiful and ultra sexy. Those are adjectives that are rarely used when talking about plus-sized women. When we discuss maligned minorities that are teased, bullied or made the brunt of jokes, large women are at the top of that list. To many, they are fair game. Adam featuring them prominently was a huge statement for diversity and acceptance. Using a sexual nickname accentuated that. For that, I applaud him. I actually agree with you here, he did make a great statement and showed willingness to go against the trend. Which is also why it is so absurd to misrepresent my earlier statement as....I am thinking that our Adam is a... ....pick your name here: racists, sexists, etc.... Really, you think that this is what I am saying? Really? Or you are just trying to shut down a discussion with the ultimate insult thinkable? (not your post, Cassie, but the earlier one, the one, you had responded to) Just wondering? Because, what I said is not that somebody is a racist, etc...which would be absurd in the context of Adam, but that sometimes an expression can have such undertones or be seen that way by others, without the person realizing that this current is running underneath and that this expression used for the backup singers had all kinds of possible connotations, many of which people objected to. And that sometimes it is good to listen to feedback you are getting, even though I obviously agree with you that Adam is not obliged to listen to anyone, especially not fans. That does not mean that occasionally it may not be prudent to do so. Peace out.

ROGER TAYLOR
"I think every day on Freddie!"
Excerpt: Magistrix: Queen even touring this summer, but rather with Adam Lambert by America! (previous question relates to "Marc Martel")Taylor: You can not compare it. When Brian and I give concerts as a queen, we want no one to imitate Freddie, because no one can replace him for us. That would be the wrong message. Adam Lambert is an independent artist. It fits us perfectly, because he is so theatrical, a true diva flat. Freddie would love him! But if you want to have the perfect illusion, then Queen Extravaganza is the real deal! OUCH!! In another word.. MM is good enough for QE but not for the real Queen. Sorry for his fans.
And Ohh If I'm not mistaken, MM did say something about singers from reality tv shows and it's not complimentary. I guess MM learns some lesson now that doesn't matter whether someone's from reality singing competition or not, the bottom line is whether or not THEY CAN SING!!! And vocally and stage presence.. you can not compare MM to Adam who's from a reality singing competition..

Well first of all, I apologize for the misattribution, Holst! I live in a coastal area that is usually very temperate, and we are currently having (for us) a sweltering heat wave, so I plead heat related inattention. And though I understand why you thought so, my posting of the article was not meant to be a reflection on your comment. I understood that you were saying that is a current happening in your setting of kids, in fact I remember thinking , "Oh, maybe juniemoon is a teacher." Clearly I really thought that was her comment! So if you are indeed a teacher, you would be the professional working to stop it's usage. Thanks you! No problem at all. I'm just glad you've decided to come out and play!

Can't see Idol here - is Gokey singing or just in the audience? Gokey was interviewed by Ryan on the stage. He talked about getting married and having babies.
