That is original!!  I actually feel sorry for Caleb! KISS worked for Adam because of the Glam. Caleb is NOT a Glam rocker. He has to be somewhat disappointed! Jena & Alex got their idols, Paramore and Jason Mraz! Caleb got KISS when he was hoping for Sound Garden or QAL!  This is all so true that it makes me wonder even more if Caleb will have a surprise performance with Queen as well - Kiss and Queen, just as Adam did! Haven't seen any Idol his year, but from what I've gathered here, it seems that Caleb has been a bit of a favourite with the judges and Idol in general.... |

YES... Rock in Rio and Rock City is connected to Clear Channel and iHR and that means it is connect to Ryan. I have nothing but the reference to 30 years to connect this but if it is Rock in Rio -- and Adam is in A3 promo time -- this will be huge!! Isn't it really, really early to be announcing something for a 2015 show? The reservation list opens up in a couple of weeks. You have to reserve a spot on a list to participate in the presale. They also plan to start selling hotel packages soon. I can't find a date. But the biggest thing is they have to sell $50+ million in marketing packages. They are already actively marketing the sponsor packages. They need to announce some artists to get the big sponsors. ETA: And they usually announce some of the artists for next year at the event. That is May 25th in Lisbon. |

OUCH!! In another word.. MM is good enough for QE but not for the real Queen. Sorry for his fans. And Ohh If I'm not mistaken, MM did say something about singers from reality tv shows and it's not complimentary. I guess MM learns some lesson now that doesn't matter whether someone's from reality singing competition or not, the bottom line is whether or not THEY CAN SING!!! And vocally and stage presence.. you can not compare MM to Adam who's from a reality singing competition.. I didn't read that quote that way AT all. Roger even stated that if you wanted the perfect illusion of Freddie than QE is what you want to see...that means he comparing Marc to Freddie. In what world could that mean he's not good enough? No...Roger was simply stating that they are both fantastic singers but Marc was wrong for what Brian and Roger wanted to present. They don't want to present themselves as a tribute band trying to get a Freddie soundalike for their current live shows. Adam fits because he's not a Freddie soundalike. Marc is a bit of a soundalike so he fits in perfectly for what Roger wants in a QE show. So to me there is no slight - no "he's not good enough for Queen" - it was more of a "he's too good at being Freddie to be in Queen because it would seem that we WERE trying to replace Freddie". As for a Marc quote about reality shows...I don't remember ever seeing anything. If you have the quote or link I'd like to see it. It doesn't sound like him. He always seems genuinely humble beyond compare...like the nicest guy. Of course I could be wrong. I highly enjoyed Marc's performances (and even a few of his original pieces!) |

IMHO,Caleb was celebrated by the judges and by the Idol staff.. He had almost as much air time as JLO..LOL...I really miss Adam and would love to see him on Idol,but just him singing alone.. not even with Queen. |

Gokey was interviewed by Ryan on the stage. He talked about getting married and having babies. Glad he's moved on from constantly talking about his late wife!.... And if Caleb is singing with Kiss perhaps it leaves Adam free to sing with Queen alone. Whatever problems Idol is having, I'd love to see Adam/Queen up there. Edit: but Adam sang with both Kiss and Queen - could Caleb be doing the same? Noooo.... he did also talk about his charity named after his late wife... would be happy to see adam and queen on the finale -- but NOT singing with anyone else, sorry, do not see the appeal of caleb at all. |

Roger has always been very complimentary of Marc Martel. I take his comment as a factual statement -- Marc Martel is great in QE because he is so much like Freddie and that is not what Roger and Brian wanted. They wanted to do something a bit new and different.

I strongly doubt Marc would have ever said anything negative about reality show singers in general or specifically. It would be so far out of character for him that even if there was a quote that said something that sounded like that, I would want to see it in context. He is a very nice, very respectful man.

Sent from my HTC One using proboards Timing wise it makes sense re promo for QAL, Calebs comment about wanting to duet with QAL, whether or not that was just a random thing, not sure QAL is a familiar association. Unlikely although it would be awesome, hopefully he well at least on the final in some capacity. |

What happened to the Glee Marry the Night video and the Glee Welcomes Adam Lambert video? They disappeared overnight from utube.  I noticed that too! I played it last night, but when I when I clicked on the link today, it was gone. The earliest episode with songs from Glee is "Movin' On". It had over 7,000,000 views.  |

American Idol tweeted a GIF of Adam and then responded to a fan tweet that we would see more of Adam -- on page 1 today -- it was not clear what they meant. 3. Idol has had a string of performers and visits from past popular Idol contestants this year. Adam is one of the most popular. (Probably #3 only surpassed by Kelly and Carrie.) He may not be on but looks like he will be in town. Caleb added to it all with an interview comment last night -- when asked who he wanted to perform with on the Idol finale, he said Queen and Adam Lambert. |
