Ok, one of my late-night screeds. Do not like J.Lo because her career was tanking before American Idol save her *ss and made her relevant and now her ego is out of control. Yes, she is beautiful and now she IS a big star--so of course it would be all about her and I think the overabundance of dewy JLo reaction shots is not stipulated in the contract, but it is mutually beneficial between star and show. This being saved by a TV singing comp holds true for Christina, whose career was also def on the skids when The Voice came around and gave it a huge boost. In fact, the only person that is humble and honest and grateful about this is, of all people, Adam Levine, who said that he decided to do The Voice because he realized that Maroon Five was becoming no longer relevant and dated. And look what it's done for him--and Maroon Five, for that matter. At the time, the only really relevant person who signed up was Cee Lo.
I think nearly all big celebs are pretty much spoiled, entitled people--how could they not be, with how the world responds to them? I never bought the whole "Jenny from the Block" persona. I'm not saying J.Lo isn't talented--as a dancer and an actor--but still it's laughable that she's judging a singing competition.
Oh, and the Kiss thing? Oof. Borderline lame when Adam did it when ppl were murmuring about the legendary but elusuve Bowie being on, but he made it awesome.
Still can't stomach Kiss because of Gene Simmons--and that goes back way further than any comments abt Adam's inability to be a rockstar b/c he's gay. It even predates his interview with NPR's Terry Gross broke her journalistic remove for first and only time by saying "You're really a jerk." He is just a certified *sshole.
Oh, and while I'm at it, lol, I don't like Avicii either for never giving shout outs to his singers, even when he is standing on stage!
Anyway, I'll be watching finale because musician friend is on, but otherwise meh. Don't feel at all bad if Adam and Queen is not on, but OTOH Adam on TV is always a good thing (except *maybe* the awkward PLL appearence). Hmm, just had a thought. So Adam is only on to be in audience and they play a short clip of him being on with Kiss and Ryan asks does a super-quick interview and they reminisce *very* briefly, and then Adam mentions his tour with Queen, and Ryan is all ears, but then when Adam tires hurriedly to mention his new music is coming out, Ryan will cut him off, lol, and throw to something else.. Just a guess, but the template is there.

Lol! Ok, Q3, I not only responded to my own post but reported myself as well. Posting this again, think. I swear I am in control of all facilities--except maybe eyesight and that's always sucked. Some glitches with signing in on phone lately, but I haven't had time to sort out yet.
