Remember though, Adam (and Kris) sang with Queen as their singers for that Finale. There was no + Adam Lambert or other frontman. I think Caleb singing with Queen and Adam would be completely different than when Adam and Kris sang with them. IMO! History has been largely re-written regarding Adam, Idol and Queen. First, many articles state that Adam was the winner (which is true but not accurate) of his season. Second, Adam sang with Queen without any mention of Kris also participating. Given this revisionist history that I think is commonly believed, if Caleb sang with Queen + Adam he would be completely lost vocally and in terms of PR and attention. Don't know if the producers want to throw him under the bus like that. As a fan, I would love to see Adam sing on TV, in any number of circumstances. Being objective, I don't see how appearing on a show that is commonly thought to be the equivalent of the Titanic in its final hours, and on a show that is likely to draw abysmal viewing numbers in comparison to its glory days, will do anything positive for Adam or Queenbert. And I don't have to watch Idol next week. Works for me!

Hey, everyone! Sorry to hear about those in the San Diego area. Hope you're all well. **************************************** I'll still be watching the Idol finale. It's usually the best best night of the season for me. Might have to change the channel or run out of the room, when Caleb and KISS are on. We'll see. In my head, I'll be be hearing Adam. www.youtube.com/watch?v=NF8gCAvS6DY

Glad that Queen is not there, at the finale. ( similar thoughts to others here...) Don't care much, whether Adam is in audience or not. The show is smaller, and Adam is bigger. It's nice, if he is in the audience, because then you know, he will get to say a few words on TV somewhere. People always seek him out for an interview. But I do not see it as essential. His career is moving full steam ahead, in any case. A little acknowledgement from idol will always be appreciated, but if it does not happen this season anymore, then let's just wait for the next one. In other idol related news: I don't particularly care for Scotty, but this little adventure of his, seriously made me sit up. Wow! Hope they caught those guys. www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2014/05/16/scotty-mccreery-remembers-scary-details-about-armed-robbery/Can you imagine, if they had broken into the home of a person that was alone at home? Scary.

Let me clarify -- I have no problem with Caleb singing with KISS as long as he does NOT sing "Beth"! I'm with you there, too, and I think he'd be foolish to even attempt that song after Adam, who not only sounded otherworldly, but literally glowed and sparkled. It would be damn difficult, if not impossible, to come close quality- and ambiance-wise to Adam's performance of that song. I'll bet KISS decides what they will sing!

There are a lot of good people performing on the Idol Finale this year so I don't think it is viewed quite as badly as that. 10 million is still a very good audience for anyone who wants to promo something. Not the numbers of its hey day, but definitely not abysmal.

I don't think it really matters hypothetically speaking if QAL perform on Idol, if it's just 7 mill people. 7 million is still 7 million people, in this day in age people are so obsessed with numbers. I mean if they performed in front of one person, it would be an advantage IMO, pay it forward and such. I mean theirs artists out their who would kill to perform in front of a thousand people, let alone 7 million, let alone with Queen. I think people forget that in this cut throat Entertainment Music world, that exposure is exposure and at the end of the day if they perform, promotion for their QAL tour, nothing well change either way, most of the concerts well still be mostly sold out.

And I think they picked the songs they performed on Idol with Adam. I do not think that KISS decided that Adam would do the intro with "Beth". And standing on the judges table, that was all Adam. It just had to be. That moment of "Beth" was my second fav moment of Idol. My first was during the Queen performance when Brian gave Adam that look. ETA: The Idol Finale will be quite good this year. So far looking like it will be a great show.
