Sure doesn't look like the amount of groceries someone leaving in a few days for the UK would be buying! ... I am verklempt that QAL means so much to him he got a tattoo of the crowned "Q"!! I haven't much paid close attention to the tattoos. Where is the crowned "Q". I did a google search to save everyone the explanation, but got creeped out over the BIG and poorly done fan tattoos that also came up in the search. It seems you didn't read page one...

Thanks Actually I did read page one.. just missed that post. My eyes got distracted to the post below, where Adam had a WTF look (or are you done) on his face when his pic was taken.

"A funny thing has happened, the price of an album has plummeted while the price of concert tickets has skyrocketed! This means that artists need to tour to make money – and it seems that everyone is on tour." Read more: www.adamtopia.com/thread/2352/18-14-adam-news-info#ixzz324Td16XBI really enjoyed this historical perspective on the music business because it puts things in perspective. The sky's not falling, it is just that the music business like life keeps changing and we all must adaptive and change or be left in the dust. After reading Q's comment on Philly being the Seattle of this Q + AL tour I went to the website to see which artist had tickets available at the Wells Fargo Center. I was surprised to find I could buy good seats for Katy Perry for both nights of her stop in August and seats for Justin Timberlake, Miley Cyrus and The Black Keys, and they are practically giving tickets away to Barry Gibbs' solo tour. Everyone comes to Philly but it is a working class town and these ticket prices (except for those 20 dollar lower level seats for BG) are high. I am puzzled by Philadelphia. This lack of ticket sales is new there. Used to be a very strong concert market. The WFC is pretty bad. Gaga's issues are not just limited to Philly. Lady Gaga is playing Cleveland tonight -- and there are tons of great seats available. Even GA floor seats. This tour is not so hot. Katy Perry, Cleveland -- sold out Bruno Mars, Cleveland -- close to sold out So Cleveland is not a market or venue issue. *** Concerts are doing well in most big cities -- Staples Center....searching for 2 tickets: Lady Gaga -- good tickets on the 100 level -- only the cheap seats are sold out. (two shows, may have been 1 too many) Cher -- deeply sold, but not sold out. JT - sold out -- his VIP packages were $695, $395. So pricey and gone! Katy Perry - sold out *** I do not think it has to do with the demographic or market size of Philly. Something else happening there. I think it is the venue. But the Spectrum (which was there before Wells Fargo Center) used to sell out for everything and it was one of the worse arena venues for concerts I have ever been in. I had no idea when I was growing up what I was missing. But at least "everyone" played Philadelphia in the 1960's-1970's -- and $15.00 got you a row three seat!

Kim @glambert620 OMFG!!! My classic rock station said the Queen + Adam Lambert show at iHeartRadio Theater LA will be broadcast on World Wide Web!!!! ???? OMG I HOPE this is true! Has anyone heard it on other classic rock stations? On the subject of promo - as I've said a few times before here, no local promo at all here NOT EVEN in the newspaper where all of the big (and many of the small) concerts are listed. And they are listed through August and even if they are sold out. I suppose that's a decision of the paper itself and has nothing to do with actual promo. BUT STILL - People seem to be totally unaware of it. Those shopping pics are just perfect. I have never been a TT fan, but he is changing my opinion slooowly. Everything - the TTs, the short hair, the facial hair...it all came gradually and gave us me time to adjust. And I wind up loving everything he does of course. Just decided to add this - That damn Philly WF show better be close to a sellout or J Moser will be cackling with glee. He didn't plug it at all but I'll bet money he'll have some snide remark if it doesn't sell well.
