TALON'S TAKE: Bring Back That Leroy BrownLIVE AT EARLS COURT - 1977- Includes Freddie bantering with the audience a bit at the end. PERSONAL NOTES: - Another short track, but I love the fact that it goes well off the beaten path for a rock band. Funny and a good time. On a truly personal note this is my 8 year old daughter's favorite Queen song! Ok - I'm always nearly too late to ever comment on Talon's Takes, but I have to say that the ukulele-banjo (seen best at ~ 0:50) is probably the cutest instrument I've ever seen! Hey Talon, who is the vocalist who does the very deep base line near the end of the recording? Doesn't sound like Freddie, and too low for either Brian or Roger. ETA: Your daughter has adorable taste. Not Talon -- but that is Freddie -- he slowed down the tape speed to make his voice very low. More info in opening post. Imagine what he could have done if he had modern digital equipment to play with?!?

Weren't Adam and Sauli in the audience the year Phillip Phillips went up against Jessica Sanchez? Anyone else remember for sure? I remember Nope, it was season 10 in 2011, the Scotty and Lauren finale. I know, cuz i was here and got to stare at Adam thru the whole show!

I forgot one thing...that 8 year old daughter is now 10. Wow I've been here 2 years on my Queen thread? Doesn't seem possible! That is Freddie with the tape slowed down a bit. Queen was VERY inventive in the studio during the 70s when they weren't using synths. They knew the sounds they wanted and had to juryrig ways to get them! And don't worry about being too late. It's never too late!
