TALON'S TAKE:
When Q3 decided to take a day off of the Countdown, I thought I'd do two supplementals but when I saw what she did instead I decided to just add on to it
SO I'll add a supplemental wishlist. I would not include any song performed by QAL or included in Q3's wish list!
Innuendo (1991)
Only performed once at the Freddie Tribute with Robert Plant, it's time this was brought back. A wish of MANY Queen fans. Epic theatrical performance galore!
It's Late (1977)
One of my favs of ALL time it has all the Queen trademarks, big vocals, big guitars, tempo shifting, drama. Bring it back Brian!
In The Lap Of The Gods...Revisited (1974)
The closer before We Are The Champions came along, and brought back in 1986 in medley format -- this one deserves to be heard again even if it is just in a medley!
It's A Hard Life (1984)
Probably Freddie's greatest song in the 80s, a big power ballad that I think Adam would perform QUITE well!
Liar (1974)
If you listen to any Queen bootlegs from the 70s (especially US ones) you'll hear the fanbase screaming for this song throughout the concert and a huge reception when they finally play it. This was THE concert favorite in the 70s. One more time Brian? Then this one should be played...
Tenement Funster (1974)
Instead of I'm In Love With My Car? Roger brought it out for his solo tours (and with Taylor Hawkins) but it could use some more airing Rog...
Save Me (1979)
I'm not sure how this ever was taken out of the set list...just a perfect power ballad! Adam would do well with this one and it's a crime they didn't do it in 2012.
One Vision (1986)
A GREAT concert opener in 1986, it would work well here too. Fun, crowd energizing and rocking. They should break this one back out.
Let Me Live (1995)
In its "Banned Version" (some vocals were too close to Janis Joplin's "Take Another Little Piece Of My Heart" and excised), this would be great to hear all 3 vocalists take a shot. FUN tune...
Breakthru (1989)
I always thought this could make a great opener! Techno music is playing, lights going and then darkness and silence. A taped Freddie intro all the way til "...final Breakthru" Then Adam goes "NOW!" The drums and lights start, then the curtain drops and Brian does some power chords (like the extended version) and rocks the house!
Was It All Worth It (1989)
Probably the best song from The Miracle (which is celebrating its 25th anniversary) - Another nice orchestral into Brian ripping opener?
Heaven For Everyone (1995)
Initially recorded by Roger and The Cross before being Queenified in 1995, I'd like to see Roger take it back with some help from Brian! Perhaps during Roger's set?
BONUS:
FUN ON EARTH TRACK (ROGER SOLO)
Well, Brian gets Last Horizon (a Brian solo track) so it's only fair if Roger gets to do one of his tracks (during his set)...I would suggest one of the two from his 2013 album, Fun On Earth since he didn't get to tour it.
Smile (2013)
Could fit in well with Days Of Our Lives!
I Don't Care (2013)
Fits in well as it was built from Roger's drum solo during QPR in 2005-06!
WHEW! Ok that's my supplemental wishlist. Are you listening boys?!?!?!
