Caleb Johnson, the new American Idol singing The Star Spangled Banner: www.youtube.com/watch?v=LgOoPci1O5gAdam Lambert singing The Star Spangled Banner: 1. www.youtube.com/watch?v=y5-AePILIvw2. www.youtube.com/watch?v=GlhlgJ1pQxo3. www.youtube.com/watch?v=IczgFvPvCQgI think maybe one of the reasons Adam has not gotten the full mainstream attention I think he deserves is because he just plain outsings everyone else. If I had a song, I would NOT want Adam to cover it. He just owns whatever he sings, IMO. Everyone has their own taste, of course. I happen to prefer belters, and people who make me feel things when they sing. Pop like Katy Perry is fun, and can even be socially relevant, but it doesn't move me like Adam's voice does. Broken Open? That song slays me every time. Slays me. Another one who does that to me is Nina Simone. And Judy Garland. They feel every syllable of what they are singing, IMO, and they take me right along with them. Jewel, in her earliest work. Tracy Chapman. Joni Mitchell. Otis Redding. I'm sure there are more I am leaving out, and I'm sure you all have your favorites. But Adam? Well Adam simply captured my heart. And soul. For me, there is no one who can match him. I tried really hard to listen to Adam Levine with an open mind, and found myself completely unmoved. Maybe he is a great singer, but he doesn't give me feels like Adam does. Adam is, for me, simply the best.

Another tour question -- do you think Adam will pack a costume trunk and ship it to wherever all the other tour gear is staged? Then, all he actually travels with is a suitcase with his street clothes, etc. I'm imagining that the tour gear will actually grow as Adam shops along the way I wonder who is "on call" to ship him stuff as he thinks about clothes that he wishes he had brought along.

I'm sorry, but Caleb's SSB was totally uninspired and he was my favorite on Idol! There were absolutely no dynamics.
