There's an unsubstantiated rumour running around twitter that Adam paid for his new house in cash. Heh heh. If true, that could help explain the deal. We got our own house at a reasonable cost pretty much because we were completely pre-financed at a time when the sellers wanted to sell quickly. Lord knows we didn't have cash for the entire house, but it made a big difference that we did indeed have the necessary 20% down in liquid cash for the mortgage (thanks to years in a rent-controlled apartment). |

I have purchased a few luxury homes for cash, then financed them. It can often get you a reduced price because the seller does not have to agree to a financing contingency and you lose your earnest deposit which could be $100,000 for a home in that price range, if you do not have then money needed to close. They get recorded as cash sales, but in my case, I always had a big mortgage so I could get the income tax deduction. In this case, Adam can almost certainly pay for it, but it might not be the best financial decision. That is a question for Adam and his accountants. |

 Hello, sweet lady!! Hello back my dear S*&@^#r! I will miss my Bama gurls, Cassie, Smokey, Maitos, but you guys will always have a room in my new house. My brother is also designing a "screening" room and is making sure all the wiring is done right. He has been such a blessing taking care of the minute details. Today he picked the granite counter for the kitchen!
To all the wonderful SoCal gurls I've met - I will be there soon after I sell my house here in GA. Hope to see many of you at the Forum!
