Really like the house. I find it interesting that the master bed/bath have a very similar gray/teal/purple color combo as the Aquarian-wolf print.

And I have another question that I'm sure has been answered before. Does Adam get ANY of the money from the sales of this Best of AL album that was released today? Or since he's not with RCA any more, does that mean that RCA gets all the money? Not sure I want to give his ex-label any more money. I'm hoping Adam gets a little bit, even though I know it's only pennies. Anybody know? Adam will always get royalties from the songs he wrote. Sony is getting the rest.

All I remember was him saying his idea of a good time or something along those lines would be a hookah in one corner of the room and an orgy in the other corner. I remember hookah being mentioned, it think orgy was in the other corner...lol Can't remember the context.
ETA: Waves at Mayumi!!! So excited for your new house, but will miss you being close by. Looking forward to seeing you at The Forum!!!
So I found it. The quote in question is from the May 24th print issue of Rolling Stone where they reviewed and rated Trespassing with four stars. In it he says, “I have a very gluttonous, hedonist personality,” he says. “I love the idea of a wild night out, and if there could be an orgy in the corner and a hookah over there - I love the idea of that. But I’m moving out of that phase of my life.” This is also where Rob Sheffield famously says "Glambert sings everything like Zeus in a thong." Here is a reprint of the article kathryn17.tumblr.com/post/22677094036/no-copyright-infringement-intended-articleThat's not the same one I was thinking of. It was shortly after Idol, and about wanting a room for sitting around smoking...apparently we're talking about two different things. Maybe it was a Lindsey Parker interview?

Ok. Now comes the REAL question: Is that closet REALLY gonna be big enough for all Adam's clothes ??!!??!! most likely not! but did you see the size of the room in lower level, easy to build one and he would need it just for stage clothes. why elmo jacket would take half!

Heh heh. If true, that could help explain the deal. We got our own house at a reasonable cost pretty much because we were completely pre-financed at a time when the sellers wanted to sell quickly. Lord knows we didn't have cash for the entire house, but it made a big difference that we did indeed have the necessary 20% down in liquid cash for the mortgage (thanks to years in a rent-controlled apartment). I see this in the listing record - does this mean cash? or cash and loan? Listing Information Listing Terms: Cash, Cash To New Loan Buyer Financing: Cash, Cash to New Loan also - $788/sq. food seems to be low for the property, however the Median $ / Sq. Ft. is $695 for the area, but many homes seem to be of older type.... It means that the buyer can offer cash or cash with the buyer getting a new loan with no contingency for the house meeting an appraised value or other lending contingencies. The selling price is about right for the area and the view nice but not spectacular -- the best views increase the price there a lot. Prices have been going up there and the renovated properties sell for higher prices. (A friend of mine just bought a house near there and I was one of his long distance real estate free opinion givers. )

Adam still has a contract with 19 Recordings and RCA which gives him the same royalties as he would have gotten if he was doing A3 with RCA.

Guess I'll click on the Atop link & buy it. It's cheap & it'll put a few pennies back in his bank account. And OMG that house looks amazing. It's way too modern for my taste but it sure suits Adam perfectly. Very classy design. And I LOVE LOVE LOVE that grotto spa thing. What a beautiful place to hang out with his friends! He deserves this sooooo much - I'm so happy for him!
