Adam Buys A House!!!
Adam Lambert Moving to the Hollywood Hills
3:55 PM PDT 5/27/2014 by Michele Amabile Angermiller
The "American Idol" season eight alum is setting up new digs one month before he departs with Queen for the summer tour.
It’s official: Adam Lambert is definitely going Hollywood -- to live, that is.
The American Idol season eight star has plunked down $2.995 million for a home in the Hollywood Hills, according to latimes.com (http://www.latimes.com/business/realestate/hot-property/la-fi-hotprop-adam-lambert-20140527-story.html ) .
Built in 1947, the Modern-style house has been renovated with upgrades, including a sweeping exterior staircase which follows the shape of a curved wall with a glass brick window.

The 3,800-square foot, three-bedroom, four-bathroom home features a dining room with a floor-to-ceiling climate-controlled wine room, full kitchen with a diner-style booth/breakfast room, a den with a fireplace, a movie screening room and a home gym.
The master suite boasts a fireplace, a sitting area and a spa-like bathroom.
The courtyard-style backyard features a grotto spa.
STORY: Queen and Adam Lambert Announce Australian Tour Dates
Lambert won’t be home this summer to enjoy it, however. He hits the road on tour with Queen on June 19. 19 Recordings/RCA/Legacy Recordings released The Very Best of Adam Lambert today. He recently wrapped a storyline arc this spring on the Fox show, Glee.
Jeff Yarbrough and Chris Jacobs of Keller Williams were the listing agents, according to the Multiple Listing Service. Lambert was represented by Brad Downs of Rodeo Realty.

A Collab With Melissa Etheridge????
To Russia with love
Written by Chris Howson.
This is the part of the interview pertaining to Adam:
There are whispers in the Twitterverse that you are planning a collaboration with Adam Lambert. Any truth to that?
Oh yes. I was performing at the Family Equality Council and afterwards Adam got up and sang and just slayed me; I was totally thrilled. His fans and my fans were all demanding a duet so I tweeted him and said, “Hey
Adam, the fans have spoken, what do you think?” And now we are talking. We’re both making records right now so I see no reason why there cannot be a collaboration on either his or my record coming out very soon.

Queen + Adam Lambert THE ONCE IN A LIFETIME TOUR Countdown!
5.28.14 by Q3
The countdown moves on and the start of OIAL Tour gets closer. Only 22 days to go!
#22 “Seven Seas of Rhye” (1973/1974)
Written by Freddie Mercury and Brian May, but credited solely to Freddie Mercury.
Released as a single on February 23, 1974. Versions of the song appear on Queen (short version, instrumental) and Queen II (full song).
This is Queen's first hit peaking at #10 on the UK Singles Chart. Without "Seven Seas of Rhye" we might not have Queen as we know them. This is the song that convinced Freddie to be a full-time member of Queen.
Also in a strange way, without this song, I might never had become a Queen fan.
This is the first Queen song I ever heard -- thanks to one of the best DJ’s ever, Ed Sciaky, who was on WMMR-FM in Philadelphia at the time. It was not a US hit, but in 1974 some FM DJs (including Ed) got to program their own shows! Ed play this song, this amazing song. The phone lines apparently went a bit crazy with people asked who and what the song was. I was one of those callers. The next morning I purchased a copy of Queen and Queen II. The albums moved into a heavy two-album rotation on my turntable driving my housemates insane!
***
An abbreviated instrumental version of SSOR appears as the final track on the group's debut album Queen (1973), with the full version on the follow-up Queen II (1974). The completed version served as the band's third single, the earliest-released song to appear on their Greatest Hits album, with the exception of some versions where their first single, "Keep Yourself Alive", is included.
Initially, "Seven Seas of Rhye" was simply an "instrumental musical sketch closing their first album". An expanded rendition, planned for inclusion on the album Queen II, was publicly premiered when Queen were offered a sudden chance to appear on Top of the Pops in February 21, 1974, and was rushed to vinyl literally 2 days later on February 23, 1974.

The song features a distinctive arpeggiated piano introduction. The piano runs are sampled in "It's a Beautiful Day (reprise)", on the album Made In Heaven.
The version on Queen II ends with a cross fade, instruments blending into several people singing "I Do Like to Be Beside the Seaside", accompanied by a stylophone, played by Roy Thomas Baker, which was an exception for their "no synths" statement. Its inclusion here on the final track of Queen II is briefly mirrored via whistling during the first few seconds of "Brighton Rock", which opens their next album, Sheer Heart Attack.
In a 1977 radio interview, Freddie described the subject of the song as a "figment of his imagination".

“Seven Seas of Rhye” Live
SSOR was a regular part of the setlist in 1974 and 1975.The song was dropped from the live set in 1976 and wasn't played in concert again until the "Works Tour” in 1984 and remained part of the setlist through 1986. It was not performed by Queen again until 2010 when Queen performed with Midge Ure at the Prince's Trust Rock Gala. It was also part of the setlist for all 6 Queen + Adam Lambert concerts in 2012.
I have selected a few of the more interesting performances of SSOR.

“Seven Seas of Rhye” Lyrics
youtu.be/74TV6A0zBHc
Seven Seas of Rhye
Fear me you lord and lady preachers
I descend upon your earth from the skies
I command your very souls you unbelievers
Bring before me what is mine
The seven seas of Rhye
Can you hear me you peers and privy councillors
I stand before you naked to the eyes
I will destroy any man who dares abuse my trust
I swear that you'll be mine
At the seven seas of Rhye
Sister I live and lie for you
Mister do and I'll die
You are mine I possess you
Belong to you forever
Storm the master marathon I'll fly through
By flash and thunder fire I'll survive
I'll survive I'll survive
Then I'll defy the laws of nature
And come out alive
Begone with you you shod and shady senators
Give out the good leave out the bad evil cries
I challenge the mighty titan and his troubadours
And with a smile
I'll take you to the seven seas of Rhye
Oh I do like to be beside the seaside
Oh I do like to be beside the sea
Oh I do like to stroll along the prom prom prom
Where the brass bands play tiddley om pom pom
Oh I do like to be beside the seaside
Oh I do like to be beside the sea
When I'm down beside the sea I'm beside myself with glee
Beside the seaside
Beside the sea
“Oh I do like to be beside the seaside”
"I Do Like to Be Beside the Seaside" is a popular British music hall song. It was written in 1907 by John A. Glover-Kind and made famous by music hall singer Mark Sheridan who first recorded it in 1909. It speaks of the singer's love for the seaside, and his wish to return there for his summer holidays each year. It was composed at a time when the yearly visits of the British working-class to the seaside were booming.
The song was briefly chanted at the end of Queen's song "Seven Seas of Rhye", and whistled at the beginning of "Brighton Rock".
Basil Rathbone performs "I Do Like To Be Beside The Seaside"
This is a bit of an oddity. In The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes (1939), starring Basil Rathbone as Sherlock Holmes, Basil a heavily disguised Holmes singing this song. The problem is that the film is set in 1892, fifteen years before the song was written.
