The garage isn't attached....bummer. Very common arrangement in the Hollywood Hills -- and in all the hills parts of metro LA, and in Malibu. I had 3 homes there, one like this -- and it was the best of the three -- otherwise if the garage is on the front of a hillside house, it is 1 or2 stories below the kitchen which is usually on the back yard level. >> It can be the other way if you are on the downhill side of the hill. I had one house where the garage was 27 stair steps below the kitchen. I only live there for a couple years, but if we had said longer, we were considering having an elevator added. (Yes, I remember every step!) |

LOL. I thought that too. But at least here, there is very little rain and hardly any cold temps. It's more of the distance to walk to and fro your car than anything. At least Adam is young and spry and can navigate those winding stairs up to his BR and down. He'll be getting lots of exercise from the lower basement level ( I couldn't tell if it had inside stairs or not) all over the main level to the kitchen and up and down from the top floor.
