"Invisible Man" is the exact type of Queen track that I can see Adam picking. Just a bit funky. 80's dance pop song. It has a great guitar spotlight in it for Brian.
**
I also LOVE this song. Not really suited to US radio or market in 1989. And 1989-1990 Queen was at their low point in the US. This single was not released here and the label was only softly promoting their Greatest Hits.

Mid-morning musing (not meant to offend; just a curious thought) -- I wonder if Freddie were still alive if a tour this size would even be happening? (Of course, there would have been so many more years that Queen may have stayed on tour.)(And, so many more songs.....) JMHO -- Freddie would be 68 years old. I think he would still be preforming but not be the icon he is today. Hard to be an icon when you are alive. My guess.... 1. He would not be performing many or any of the Queen music from the 1970's. He would have stopped singing the songs that require the high power notes about 10 years ago. Impossible to imagine he could hit them at 68. 2. For all the talk of Freddie being innovative, he really was not very experimental and stayed in the popular mainstream musically. He passed on new wave and punk. He would have not done well with hip hop/rap/urban music of the 90's on. He certainly would not have been a Nirvana fan and when he was alive did not really get grudge, industrial, thrash metal, etc. Rock fans would have ignored him and he would have moved on to pop. 3. He would have had 23 years of compositions that we do not have and he would be performing some of that music. 4. He would not be running around the stage in short shorts but would still be wearing long dramatic caps. 5. Queen might well have become a side project for him or abandoned at this point -- just like Robert Plant and Led Zeppelin. BUT Freddie would not be doing bluegrass music! 6. He would probably have loved MUSE and Lady Gaga and many other mainstream pop-rock artists and done a lot of collaborations like he did with Michael Jackson. And, like his work with Michael, the outcome would be only moderately successful. 7. Freddie might has followed a path similar to Elton John and taken up residency in Las Vegas. Freddie liked money. ** But in 2014 with Mick Jagger and the Stones, Elton John, Cher, Billy Joel, etc. doing arena tours, if they were still together, they would still be touring and in arenas. Here is what the Guardian wrote on his 65th birthday -- www.theguardian.com/music/musicblog/2011/sep/05/freddie-mercury-65-google-doodle

The LA Forum has now got so few tickets left that it is technically sold out. And QAL is out-selling the other music acts booked in at the Forum in July, including KISS/Def Leppard (7/8), Boston (7/29) and Aerosmith/Slash (7/30). Bragging rights indeed. ETA: The MSG organization must be very happy with the QAL deal -- sell-outs in both NY (MSG) and LA (Forum).

They sell a pack of stuff that costs maybe $8 and collect $100 - $900+. It adds up to about doubling the profit per concert.

Do you think by saying the tour will be different, they might change the arc of the concert as well? So that there isn't that long middle Brian/Roger section? I just wondered if that was to give him vocal rest. I almost wanted their moment more interspersed but perhaps that wouldn't work. I enjoy Brian and Roger singing and all the harmonies when they all sing. I hope Adam does one acoustic number with Brian.
Am hopeful about a slightly different set!

I have no idea what they might do differently. However, I predict they will have a section for at least 15-20 minutes where Adam is offstage. Some of the Queen repertoire is very challenging, vocally. Adam makes it even more so with added riffs, improvisation, high glory notes, etc. I have watched some of Queen's live concerts from the 80s, and Freddie, while full of energy and magnetism, vocally takes things down in the key or sings an alternate melody/harmony rather than reaching for the high glory notes. Freddie also blew out his voice during his career. With the demands on Adam's voice, I think he will insist on a break of some kind rather than performing straight thru for two hours. At least, I hope he would. I want that voice to be as pure, pristine and strong for many years to come. Breaks for one or two songs aren't really enough. Especially if he stays on stage and maintains his onstage energy and presence. He needs to be "OFF" vocally, emotionally, and physically. IMO.

Adam mention. suffolktimes.timesreview.com/2014/05/48837/niles-rodgers-envisions-annual-concerts-at-martha-clara/Niles Rodgers envisions annual concerts in Riverhead by Tim Gannon | 05/30/2014 12:36 PM Music legend Nile Rodgers made a visit to Riverhead Town Hall Thursday to iron out details of the upcoming “We Are Family Festival” at Martha Clara Vineyards on Aug. 8 and 10. And it’s something he hopes to be doing for years to come, apparently. .. Last year’s performers included Chic, Adam Lambert and Avicci. The event drew about 5,000 people, according to Mr. Herman.

I noticed that too and decided that one side was advertised as the wine area - because I don't see a picture of one.... in any case - the kitchen is just awesome! I don't know what you are seeing, guys, but there is only one kitchen and only one island. There are just 3 different photos taken from different angles of the room. The wine area is the entire back wall of the dining room! It is not in the kitchen. It looks like a mirror at first glance, but look closer. Thanks myS*&@^#r but.... Nope - this is definitely two islands, two oven areas, two fridge/ freezers. The breakfast booth thing is to the left of one and the right of the other. Also look at the sides of the islands. Yep - saw wine area in dining room.....wondered if they are refrigerated and, in that case, where is the Red? Obviously too much time on my hands today! Revlisacat - thank you for your explanation of the two ' mirror image ' Kitchen ends. Seems the answer. i am living and learning!
