Awwwwwww! Brian!!! Has anyone here seen WWRY? A friend of mine went to see it last night & left at intermission. :( Did not like it at all. I hope it's not too bad - we have tickets in LA at the end of July. What was the problem, or do you know?It It is/was a great show! You will not be disappointed. It just ran its course. There was nothing wrong with the show. Played for years and years. Award-winning! I think it is one of the most successful shows in London! My concern is what will happen to the iconic statue of Freddie outside the theatre. His stature is alongside the great conquerers of the Western World. As it should be!  |

It can't be said that it's well written but it's funny and I enjoyed all the characters and the music and songs are the best ever! Do take ear protection though. |

For those wishing to see more pics of Adam, or of Adam with B&R, I think they were purposely not going there tonight. This is about celebrating the run of the show in London and an era that has come to an end. QAL together would overshadow the present celebration.
And you can see by the comments from many at that show or maybe even in the show, that Adam's status is quite apparent to many already. But today is not his day, today it is about others. Adam's day will come and the start of that is less than 20 days away. Patience, kiddos.
Having said that, I did the same thing Cassie did, went and listened to Adam, right after hearing TSMGO, sung by this team of professional singers, who each had to sing just one or two lines chosen to fit their range, not the whole song. Adam outsings them all, from the first to the last one. The guy in the white T-shirt was probably the strongest of the guys for this song, and has in some notes even a bit a similar tone to Adam, and yet, in the comparison, it is obvious, that Adam is singing circles around him, as well as the rest of that whole group.

I was in the audience in 2012 - - - and I thought the show was great! We sang along with the performers; we were in London to see Adam/Queen Hammersmith, of course . . . this show was a wondrous part of our journey. We had great seats, and were acknowledged by the cast for knowing the words!! Why on earth your friend would leave at intermission is beyond me. Well, people are allowed to not like things. Different strokes & all. Not what she expected. Perhaps the production she saw was not good also. It happens. I saw a horrible My Fair Lady once. Professional touring production that was pretty crappy!! |

I just had a look at the Merriweather Pavilion site and Phillip Phillips and O.A.R. (whoever they are)are playing the night before QAL. There's a notable discrepancy in ticket prices and seats left. He may have the best selling single of an idol ever but who wants to go see him? So what is the discrepancy? PP's tickets $36-$46 and lots of seats in the pavilion still available. QAL tickets $45-$1,195 and sold out. |
