That was soooooo hard to listen to - I mean up until LMD. My ears are done, my brain is blown. Lord, I could not go to one of those concerts. I'm glad I came up in a different era! LOL - at least you gave it a shot and now you know a bit more about what Avicii's music is all about. haha - I actually like some of his stuff (4 on the iPod right now) but in a concert venue, not so much.  |

Cassie....I no little about all the amazing things you share with us about music but, for me, Adam's music comes from so deeply within him that I can feel and hear Adam's emotion so strongly and I get lost in his music. There is no body else there for me when Adam performs. Everything kind of stops and I am mesmerized by the VOICE and the MAN!    </img>  |

Totally, we all love different stuff. Adam unifies us all. And, yes, I never was an idol nut, learned most anything I know about it here on these forums, and glance at it mostly from the side-lines now, I only posted this to show a) how tough it is, and b) how diverse the markets now are and how many markets are out there that are interesting to others, but completely bypass me. EDM is obviously just one market, and it is on one hand lucky that Adam's paths crossed with this kind of music, but on the other hand, this EDM is also kind of like a foreign world even to Adam (?), and certainly to most of us. Love that we have some EDM lovers among us. Makes it all so interesting to exchange and share. ETA: Not totally sold on that look of Adam tonight. All looks a bit tight, doesn't it? Nope, must be just me...  |

Bye TWOP - The Community is Now Offline and no longer Unavailable  I am sadden by this. TWoP was one of the saner places for discussion, even if fan wars caused that poor mod (Tennyson?) to repeatedly shut down and reopen the Adam thread (why the latest thread was called Adam Take 2). I never posted, but I sure was a serial lurker there and was introduced to the most fun fandom ever, which was AI back in the day (Grassy Knoll thread was awesome and probably groundbreaking in giving such gravitas to pure "lightweight" pop culture obsession via the still relatively new social media). I recall some hysterical posts with intense discussions about "ginge pits" that Adam's dad broke into and revealed just how cool he was. Also, I'm going to reveal (or, actually, just underscore) what a horrible person I am in taking a small amount of pleasure that Phil Phillips latest has tanked. |

Tommy talk.. I don't think Adam can go from Brian to Tommy.. I mean come on..We will have to see what album 3 sounds like. IMHO Adam needs to really go for the best band members he can get if and when he tours on his own for his next CD. He could always use the Peter Principal and move Tommy up and to the side and hire a great guitarist.The band is everything after the singer... Adam is great but he can't be dragging a rather lack luster guitarist after him..
If some fans love Tommy ,well he can always be on stage but not as lead guitarist.Adam is awesome and he needs awesome players to back him up and to challange him.
IMO the old band and the singers just looked like amateurs next to Adam.

The fur collar is detachable and he has worn it with different coats. I believe that in NYC he wore his longer winter coat with the collar - not the same as the short jacket today, albeit the same colour. We've seen pics of the short jacket without the collar (going to a club in LA?). This one is longer and blue. The same fur collar? The blue one is a hoodie and I think the fur is attached, and it's not nearly as big as the fur collar today. He sometimes wears it under a jacket which is confusing. This is an old piece before my time and I never got it if he has two of them, olive and blue, or just one and the pics are messing up the colours. The big fur collar he wore f.ex. in Austria with a different jacket when he played cowbells in January 2012. That jacket he used without fur on the same trip in Stockholm. It has big two-coloured lapels when not zipped up (or double lapels, inner black one covers the greenish one leaving a stripe of it to be seen). You can see them f.ex. in the hour-long interview for Finnish TV that was filmed at the Nobis (hotel in Stockholm) and other interviews took place too, so there must be pics too. He wore the long winter coat in NYC January 2014 and during the trip also without fur (pics from lobby at his new year eve's hotel, airport and from NYC shows), the material could be wool and I assume it has some kind of lining because he uses it in winter. That might be reaching to logic though as Adam uses boots and coats and layers in LA summer as well. But you surely remember the coat as it appears several times every winter. The short coat has the same model and olive colour as the long one, lots of buttons etc. but it looks thin, material like cotton and he wears it inside in summer just like any other jacket. The fur collar is a decoration. We got pics some time during the latter half of 2013 that Betty kindly posted already. Thanks Betty! |
