I entered. Only thing I've ever won was 6 cans of dog food and I didn't have a dog. Looks like the universe would smile once in a while for me. sigh That is the saddest prize I have ever heard of!!  I hope you had a friend with a dog.  See See I'm due!! |

Wow - and the caption says they took 2nd place. Who took first? Thanks for sharing, lulu.I thought the same thing! I got this off of my Facebook page, so I don't know who took 1st place, but they must have been awesome if this was 2nd place!Not a foregone conclusion. Remember--Adam took 2nd place to Kris on Idol. |

Just watched this masterpiece again, and it moved me to tears. My gawd, how powerful. How dramatic. How emotional. What incredible singing. For me, THIS song is Adam and Queen's ultimate tribute to Freddie. Freddie created incredible, never-before seen/heard music. He lived for "the show." He fought so hard to keep going through terribly dark times. He ultimately lost the fight. But he wanted the show to go on!
And it is! With someone who can fully do justice to his songs and his vision, while making it exciting and new. With a frontman who was inspired and influenced by Freddie as he grew into the artist he is today. With band mates who are newly invigorated and joyous onstage. With a cross-generational audience clamoring for "the show."
It is going to be glorious. Freddie would be most pleased.

Well, I responded to the invite for the contest at iheartradio in Burbank! I have become so hopeful---even though I'm one of the many who "never win anything!!! Don't ask me why, but a little part of my brain still believes it could be me sitting in that small theater! Fingers crossed.... And momtomany---you are soooo right. Carmel-By -the- Sea is one of the most enchantingly beautiful places on earth. My hubby and I fell in love with it when we left NY for California many years ago.You will have a glorious time there.
