Was just shopping at our local mall and LMD was playing in Penneys! I was singing along & then I realized, "WHAT?!"

Is this the only time Freddie performed WWTLF live? I haven't found any others.
But wait - maybe you just want to discuss TSMGO? Sorry I happen to be obsessed with WWTLF. One of the most beautiful ballads ever written. Rock or otherwise.

Freddie is gone and Adam lives, thank god..I have never really understood comparing artists to see who is best.. If you love a singer he may be the best to you.It is soo subjective and really in the end, does it matter..

I completely agree. I was just talking about how Adam's version of this particular song gets to me. They are both amazing talents - in fact no one better. And quite different from each other. Thanks talon - I guess I didn't look hard enough. So he performed it through that '86 tour.

Since today's countdown song is "Liar" I thought I would just add a postscript about one of my favorite performance of "Liar". It's a longest performance, pretty typical of the period. "Liar" Newcastle 1979. youtu.be/FOMeAu_1XHsThe band was pretty amazing at this concert -- a bit grittier than they sound in the 1980's, more to my preference. Brian's guitar solo on this is really loose. And everything works together. Freddie was awesome at this concert. He really captured the emotion of "Liar" that night. Woaa! Love that one! For me another great example of how great all four of them were. Freddie was awesome, but did you hear Brian play? And Roger & John? It is just amazing how this talent just all came together to make something magical.

Somebody talked about 'imprinting' on a voice once. I am definitely imprinted on Adams voice. Whenever I hear him sing, especially when I am not expecting it, my whole body just gets a shot of adrenaline (or whatever hormone it might be). If I listen to Freddie, he makes me rock, smile, go 'woaaa that's f*cking brilliant', or just very happy, but I don't get that 'Adam' tingle. Doesn't say anything about Freddie or Adam, but a lot about me .
