I wrote this years ago I hope you like it to me it makes me think of Adam
Solitary Man
He follows the track with pack on back
He's by himself completely
Nobody to talk, he likes it that way
He never minded his own company
After all he's a Solitary Man
The only sound he hears
Is of the grass brushing against his legs
And the breaking of twigs under his feet
Absolute joy invades him
He has reached his destination
The feeling of total contentment
And pure pleasure consumes him
He is there at the top of the mountain
The world is at his feet!

Bri pic.twitter.com/XSxmoGzFuv Decent but not that many - have on good authority because show is in arenas building the stage base and rigging structure to even hold lighting would account for at least 4 or 5 of these then you have band equipment, other staging etc etc. apparently on U2s last tour was something like 22 trucks due to double story stage and all Edges computer equipment etc... Looks like it's going to all used to good effect though.... Yay for people who get first look next week. Just to clarify a little, the 22 trucks for U2 was just the production load out, not the stage set itself. The 360 tour stage used 70+ trucks and there were two complete rigs. It took 2-3 days to assemble but interestingly only 1 to break down. At least part of the lighting and video set may have been in the stage load out rather than production load out. As big as QAL's set may be it is not likely to come close to as large as a U2 load out. For those of you who may be interested in tour logistics, structure and technology there is a book called "U2 Show" which covers all the U2 tours up through the Elevation Era (2001-2) actually ending with the 2002 Superbowl performance. U2 has always been at the forefront of developing tour technology so it is a nice retrospective of the development of rock touring. |

I think you misread my post.....it was about Adam not QAL, and about 2012 not 2014, and about iHeartRadio Theater NYC. Adam was at the iHR Stage in NYC May 15, 2012. Same theater. LiveStreamed Album Showcase. Oh, I got your point and have no issue with it. Guess i wasn't clear on what my purpose was. I was just using your post as a starting point to let people know that even if someone was watching the Sam Smith live stream and it worked, it does not mean that the QAL live stream will work for them on Monday. Even though they are both iHeartRadio Live events, the NYC and LA live streams are 2 different video streaming setups and I had some problems with using FireFox on the Yahoo Screen video streaming setup used for the LA live streams. Don't want anyone to have problems with watching the live stream on Monday. Oh, I was confused by your post because it copied my "nice memory" post. I do not recall any big issues with iHR Live Streams in the past. But even though the location will be different, it iHR and Yahoo Screen technology will be identical to the Sam Smith event. So if someone had issues with the Sam Smith live feed, they will have the same issues with Monday's QAL concert. I had no issues with FireFox or Chrome for Sam Smith. ETA: If you want to check out Yahoo Screen in advance, they have 1 live stream concert every day. More info here: screen.yahoo.com/The Arctic Monkey iHR Live Stream recording is excellent. Worth watching if you missed it. The whole QAL show will be streamed live and will be available after the live stream on Yahoo Screen. |
