Thanks all for the best wishes! We love the new house...I just kind of wish I could fast forward the next few days. Started painting the kids rooms and it is taking much longer than hoped for Movers coming this morning for the big stuff, but I'm not sure where it's all going since our new bedroom set is smack dab where our table is going....Why? Because the wife wanted to twice shampoo the new carpet. So between our bedroom having a wet carpet, and the 3 kids rooms having paint, I'm not sure where I'm directing everything to go. Additionally, I'm a bit worried about my washer/dryer making it into the basement. There's a narrow section of the basement stairs. The previous owner got theirs in and out but I'm wondering if mine is bigger... THEN there's still so much crap left to purge/take over for the weekend! Don't get me wrong, I'm excited...just exhausted and wishing it to be done I NEED MY COFFEE. ANYWAYS, I do have priorities...so give me a second.... CONGRATS!! SO exciting!

The Queen set is using "Adam colours!" - blue and green and gold-ish. Love seeing pics of trucks and sets but would LOVE to see a pic of ADAM!! He has perfected the art of staying undercover. :(

Decent but not that many - have on good authority because show is in arenas building the stage base and rigging structure to even hold lighting would account for at least 4 or 5 of these then you have band equipment, other staging etc etc. apparently on U2s last tour was something like 22 trucks due to double story stage and all Edges computer equipment etc... Looks like it's going to all used to good effect though.... Yay for people who get first look next week. Just to clarify a little, the 22 trucks for U2 was just the production load out, not the stage set itself. The 360 tour stage used 70+ trucks and there were two complete rigs. It took 2-3 days to assemble but interestingly only 1 to break down. At least part of the lighting and video set may have been in the stage load out rather than production load out. As big as QAL's set may be it is not likely to come close to as large as a U2 load out. For those of you who may be interested in tour logistics, structure and technology there is a book called "U2 Show" which covers all the U2 tours up through the Elevation Era (2001-2) actually ending with the 2002 Superbowl performance. U2 has always been at the forefront of developing tour technology so it is a nice retrospective of the development of rock touring. The U2 Tour was not comparable -- it was a stadium tour and in a league of its own. The set was enormous and record setting. ** QAL is an arena tour. And with 15 trucks, it is on par with Rhianna's Diamonds Tour which had 17 trucks. And pretty typical of a 2014 arena tour. Taylor Swift's Red Tour which was one of the most elaborate of 2013 had 24 trucks of stage and lighting gear plus 15 buses of personnel. Lady Gaga's Art Pop has the most elaborate arena tour out there -- 32 trucks, and many, many buses. Even bigger than her massive Monster Ball Tour which had 28 trucks — almost twice as many as a typical tour — are required. Gaga's wardrobe alone had an entire truck, and Gaga used four separate buses: one with a king-size bed, another equipped with a full recording studio so she can put down new tracks on the road. Plus LiveNation provided her with a private jet. A typical top rock or country arena tour in North America has 10-12 of these double-deck big rigs and 8-10 buses of personnel. So QAL looks like it will be on the high side of that. The pop tours are more elaborate. Taylor Swift's Tour looks like a pop tour.
