Hi Everyone! This is off topic, but I feel it is important information to anyone who will be using the train to get to your concert. Especially, if you are traveling the same day as the concert. I am and have been monitoring the departure time of my train daily for a week and a half now. This all started when I was checking the departure time and noticed that the train was running 7 hours late. Since then I have found that the train is late quite often. Ranging from 30 minutes to 7 hours late. Rarely is it on time! So I called and talked to an agent. I was told that recently the freight trains are experiencing increased shipping demands and that if they have a problem it affects the passenger trains as they have to wait until the problem is solved. They use the same track and the freight trains have priority. I would just die if I missed a second of my concert!!! I am going to change my departure day. I am not feeling lucky! I wish everyone safe travels and good luck with their travel time if using the train system!! I was thinking to travel 17th from Philadelphia to New York (I have no idea yet what time). Are the trains delayed in this section?

Nick is a great guy. I've talked to him a few times and he really does a good job with what he has to offer. Should be an interesting read. I was kind of hoping that by going on tour it meant we'd get the downloads, but I haven't seen that yet. OH and thanks for all the well wishes everyone! We're about 70% moved in with a few mishaps...The washer dryer did NOT fit down the basement steps :( SO it looks like I'm selling them and getting something about 2 inches smaller! AND the bedroom set I bought...didn't come with the hardware which we didn't notice until about 3/4 the way being done....and nitpicky - it is a bit big for our bedroom. We chose the downstairs bedroom which is small because we usually don't care about bedroom size....but ah well....we're getting there....I'm just exhausted :D Now waiting for page 2 I've had to pack up and move a gazillion times in my life, including between countries and continents, and the older I get the more I hate it. This is my typical moving mode. ITA, I have moved 4 times in the last 10 years and I HATED it every time! Actually, I am still unpacking from the last move over a year ago! I live alone and I'm really lazy LOL, not just that I have had problems with depression that kept me immobile for a while. I've actually gotten a lot accomplished in the last month! Good luck Talon and congrats on your new home.

Are the trains delayed in this section? Always possible, but not likely. The trains from Philly to NYC don't use the same lines as freight trains. Train service in the NE is much better than elsewhere.

Are the trains delayed in this section? I recommend checking with the service you are using on this but the US Rail system is a patchwork quilt. Boston to Washington DC Amtrack trains have their own track. This is not the case for Amtrak in the rest of the US. There are regional trains. If you want to go from Center City Philadelphia to the venue that train is local and OK to use. ** The last time I have taken a US train outside of Boston-NYC-Philly-DC Amtrak was in 1974. Philly to Chicago -- it was supposed to be a 16 hour trip, the train was 17 hours late. It is less reliable now. I would think very seriously of using either deluxe bus transport (not Greyhound!) or flying or driving in the rest of the US. Canada rail is much better. I love trains, just not US and Mexico trains. (Mexico makes the US look good.) Regional and local train systems -- commuter trains are great!!! If you can use them in Chicago, Philly, NYC, etc. you will be happy.
