I'm curious why they changed up Under Pressure so that Roger played drums while also singing, versus the other way they used to do it with Roger on stage with Adam singing, while Rufus played drums. Any ideas?

I'm curious why they changed up Under Pressure so that Roger played drums while also singing, versus the other way they used to do it with Roger on stage with Adam singing, while Rufus played drums. Any ideas? I this it was two things --- 1. With only 8 songs, it would be jarring and disruptive for Roger to move from the drums to the stage and then get back there. 2. I wonder if Adam might be planning to stand on the gold circle next to Roger in concert. This may have been a mini version of that. |

It's 9pm here and finally catching up with today's comments! Words cannot describe how awesome today was! And to think so many of us are fortunate to see that LIVE over the next 3 months! If I was excited about my two Melbourne shows before, nothing compares to how excited I am after seeing today's show! The stream started at 1pm for me, and as a school teacher that was partway through my lunch hour. Long story short - I had the stream showing in my class at lunch today - helped that it was raining outside so most kids were hanging out in my room. As a school, we sing WWRY so they were very familiar with that song. And many know about Queen and had even heard of Freddie! (These are 9-10 year olds) So I had the laptop hooked up to the projector ready for the lunchtime concert! The kids loved it! A couple of comments that made me LOL: "That's the tour you're going on isn't it?" (in reference to the tour comment in the interview) "I'm really starting to like him" (about Adam!) "Adam Lambert - he has his own career outside of this doesn't he?" Here are some of the kids enjoying We Will Rock You at the start of the concert!!! (you can see some doing the clap!)   |
