Somewhat OT but where is JazzRocks? I know she's on twitter but I'm surprised she hasn't been here to comment on the concerts. Have you twitters seen her?

Dr. Rock @_ACDC_ 3h Can Queen work with Adam Lambert? Ask AC/DC, Van Halen - San Jose Mercury News: Can Queen work with Adam Lambe... bit.ly/1j7WdrDCan Queen work with Adam Lambert? Ask AC/DC, Van HalenBy Jim Harrington jharrington@bayareanewsgroup.com POSTED: 06/23/2014 Many fans regret never seeing Queen in concert. But is it worth buying a ticket to see the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame act perform without the rock icon Freddie Mercury, who died in 1991? Local fans will find out when Queen -- with "American Idol" star Adam Lambert on vocals -- plays the SAP Center in San Jose on Tuesday. It's not an unprecedented pairing, Lambert fronted the band at the 2011 MTV Music Video Awards, and kicked off a 24-date North American tour with the band on June 19. It's the latest example of a band trying to soldier on -- as well as pad the bank account -- without its iconic frontman or frontwoman. The results have varied wildly over the decades, going from the hugely disappointing (the Doug Yule-led Velvet Underground) to the amazingly successful (Brian Johnson's reign with AC/DC). Of course, it's hard to imagine Queen without Mercury, he of the four-octave range and theatrical stage moves that made him one of the most acclaimed rock performers in history. Yet, this isn't even the first time Queen has tried touring with a replacement singer. The band performed for several years, beginning in 2004, with former Bad Company frontman Paul Rodgers. In honor of the Lambert-led Queen's visit to the Bay Area, we've decided to look back at some of the other acts who have continued on without their most visible member. We didn't concern ourselves with the bands that made a switch early on in their careers -- such as Pink Floyd and Pantera. Instead, we focused on groups that changed vocalists after they were already well established in the music world. Here's a look at several marquee acts that dared to make the switch: ... more Queen + Adam Lambert When: 7:30 p.m. July 1 Where: SAP Center at San Jose Tickets: $39.50-$129.50, www.ticketmaster.com

Please, can someone tell me why every time I want to login on forum I must reset my password? Does anyone else have this kind of problem? I didn't have to reset my password every time I login. Sorry, I don't understand? Maybe those high tech people can help?

Damn! Nick will be gone after a few more concerts! Am really going to miss his blogs! I agree the blogs have been great and very informative. In the latest blog he mentions hanging out with a couple of members of Adam's team. I wonder how many people are on Adam's team and what roles they fill on the tour?

talon, I don't understand how Bri and Roger could put on a show by themselves without a singer. How would that work? And I really don't understand how many Queen fans don't respect Bri and Roger or hold them in high enough regard to accept their choice of frontman. I read some really ugly comments about them that took me by surprise.

I simply could care less if some Queen fans don't like Adam or if they are upset with Queen's live music not being buried with Freddie. It's like being upset that not everyone likes Obama,or America, or the Pope or Brad Pitt. I mean does everybody have to have the same opinions. Isn't it just glorious that Adam and Queen have almost all sold out shows ,that people love their performances, etc. I just refuse to find a negative in any of this fantastic moment in time. But as I said above... everybody is different.. so angst away. I am so with you on this. No angst here - armed with the #FLD for reviews I'm back off to rewatch the marvel that is WWTLF from Winnipeg (it's my current porn - that mirror ball and that voice bouncing off the rafters does me everytime) am sure every concert will produce a new favorite.
