Yes, I have to say I don't care one iota what disgruntled Queen fans think, any more than I am interested in what rock fans think or AI fans think either. There will always be naysayers. Ignore their cranky asses!!! Adam is a star and is joyous in this tour. That is all I care about!!!!

If I have to read one more word about Adam not being credible or worthy enough here of all places, I'm going to cry, for real. I don't care who said it, where, or why, I just don't want to read it here. It hurts me, and it's not nice. That Chaplin guy majorly sucks, by the way, completely objectively speaking. The thirty seconds I gave him was thirty seconds too long. Thank you aleks. I had to step away from the board because like you, I come here for Adam. Although there may be many other great singers in the world, there must be a better place to discuss them than here. Ask Q3 for a special thread for other great singers in the world so a discussion of who would be better to front Queen can be openly talked about, but you guys are bringing me down. I have tried scrolling, but it is hard not to read at least part of what people I like have to say and by then I have gone too far. I like my little bubble, it is my happy place. I know it is a bubble, I accept that it is a bubble, there is no logic to how I feel. I am completely capable of finding other music I like on my own but the only thing accomplished for me here, in a situation like this, is to put me off other singers, so this does them and me a great disservice. I'm really not certain if it is my place to put a halt to the discussion or not since it pertains to Adam. Totally undecided if I should use my magic mod powers. Maybe we could go play in the concert thread????
I will at least say that any comments relating to this need to include how it pertains to Adam. If you want to talk about others maybe start a discussion in the Queen Thread.

I will never try to take the freedom from artist, I will never say that his art should be put on pedestal or buried with him, I will never say that he should retire because I don't like what he is doing with his own art, I will never say that he is to old, that he is doing this only for money, I will never dictate with who he can collaborate and with who he can't. I can only have wishes, but not demands. This should be the official pledge of "The Responsible Allegiance of Fans." I keep meaning to ask- what song is Brian doing in his guitar solo?

I love chocolate candy and I love ice cream. When I eat ice cream I don't preface it with "It's no Hershey bar" because well, duh, it isn't. That's how I feel about the "he's no Freddie meme" it doesn't annoy me but I do say "well, duh, of course he isn't. On the plus side, the "he's no Freddie" has replaced all the Gay references we put up with forever. ITA!! I think Adam is chocolate and Freddie is ice cream. (Dessert wars ensue!) ; ) **** Anyway -- there are more posts about "he's no Freddie" here than on QueenZone.com. So let's move on!

Guys, remember when before Queen concert in Wrocław on one of polish Queen forums I was treated like trash? And I was one of them for few years, not someone new. I took a lesson from this - I will do everything in my power to never be that kind of a fan. Entitlement and bitterness take everything what is good in being a fan of someone from you, and you know what? Nobody forces you to be a fan of someone who you don't approve of so why are you lose so much time on whining and criticizing? IMO this kind of thinking is making you an owner and artsit a slave, are you really want to be someone like that? So, I stopped to worry about them long ago, I'm just making sure that I am not one of them.
Good one nonchallance! I think it's good to try to put oneself in someone else's shoes. Do they want their freedom to be taken? Do they want to be told to stop doing what they love to do and just get bored? IMO, most people don't like to be told what to do, so why should they do that to someone else?

My prediction is that by the end of the tour there will be very few active "critics" left, and that pool will mostly consist of people who did not attend any of the concerts. So far I have not seen one negative review from an actual attendee - even on QOL. Some didn't like the couch (too campy and/or obstructed the view of Brian) or some other moment, but overall the reaction was very positive. Give it another 9 weeks and the few negative voices will get silenced as well. On the Rolling Stone article, I did see a comment from someone who attended that didn't like it. She said it was okay at first but Adam's voice became grating. She was there for Roger and Brian, whom she liked of course. That's the only negative review I've seen from an attendee. Lots of haters on that article. Almost as if they are grasping at straws to find something wrong with him. Some were even calling him fat!

Hence the coining of the #FLD (freddie legal disclaimer) I swear there is a law somewhere that we don't know about that states every article, post of comment has to come with some version of that line - maybe google have put it in their algorithm and you have to use it to get ranked... LOL At some point I started to think that this is some kind of alibi, because you absolutely can't say anythnig nice about Adam with Queen without #FLD. It's serious crime LOL. Found a couple of great images. I may have to start using these when the Adam = not Freddie comparisons come out.
