After two concerts - Forum and Vegas 2nd, I have to say what an experience and my first seeing BB live!! I so wish I could keep it going. Two concerts and two very different experiences. The Forum really was fabulous. Great seats on the first level above the floor to the left of the stage in line with the thrust. That concert went by in a blur and whirlwind of emotion......audio and visual stimulation overload. Like some type of dream sequence I can barely remember. Pretty much already knew every song (and not just because I watched every stream of the concerts before mine). The ballads were so moving and the rock songs JUST ROCKED. And like others have said, that guitar solo. Someone mentioned the name of it on this site and I looked it up and downloaded it right away. What a keeper that is. My other new favorites are Lap of the Gods and Love Kills. I was surrounded by Adam fans (except for my DS, a professional eye roller) including a woman in front of me who was dancing in the aisle with me. At one point during TSMGO, we just ended up hugging each other it was so powerful. I told her about this site.
I feel like there are no words left to describe Adam, his mastery over these songs and his stage presence, - at least not any that I can think of that have not been said about him here so eloquently and much better than I can do. Actually TBH, on the ride to the Forum, friends were playing Queen songs and I found myself missing the Adam versions as I am so used to them his way now and I own A Night at the Opera, A Day at the Races and News of the World from back in the day.
Vegas 2 was different, more personal and I was able to concentrate more directly on Adam’s performance instead of the concert as a whole. I was simply in awe of his total control of the stage and the audience – and his facial expressions and movements that I wasn't as aware of at the Forum. Amazing - what a showman and very playful. I just let it all soak in and took note of the details. We seemed to be packed in pretty tight there but I was still able to stand and dance. The people around where I was sitting in row G were also there because of Adam, a couple who had driven from Oregon and a couple from Colorado. I noticed one of the guys from Colorado had a Glam Nation black fingerless glove on and I asked him about it. He said he just loved that concert – sorry I missed it. The Oregon couple knew Adam from AI. It was over too fast and everyone seemed to be in awe of the performance, including my 28 year old son who went with me and has been known to raise an eyebrow or two at my zeal for Adam. He was singing most of the songs and belting out WWRY and WATC at the end and later told friends that Adam was amazing!
I also wanted to say that the brunch was fun and such an opportunity to meet so many Atoppers. Thanks for all of your posts and information.
