Just spent 15 hours on this little project I have made an mp4 of my video from Las Vegas #1. It's the complete show, shot from front row of the balcony. I decided to just frame the stage, so you won't see up close zooming. There are 2 minor glitches. During STL, the recording time ran out so there is a stop/start and in WWTLF I missed the beginning changing to a new battery. All I did was run a conversion to make the size more managable, down to 2.9 GB's from 11GB's. DancyGeorgia has all my raw files so eventually we may see a really nice edit but in the meantime if you are interested you can watch this. www.mediafire.com/?kzdbuvg1zzz0qsoLet me know what you think. Hopefully this is the correct link ETA, I have watched it on my computer but haven't moved it to my iPad yet Wow! Fantastic video resolution and audio.... I wonder how you kept a steady hand holding the camera. Thank you so much, Tinafea I used a little monkey tripod, it has magnets in the feet so it stuck to the balcony railing.

I like this review for a lot of reasons, foremost because it says this: "... American Idol runner up Adam Lambert on vocals. You might be saying "What!!? Adam Lambert??!! Yeah! Adam Lambert!! I have heard lots of people do Queen songs and no one, NO one sings 'em like Adam. The boys liked him, so they got him and Adam does the job. Crazy costumes and platform shoes he shines through ..." Then it just goes on talking about Queen songs like Adam is now a part and no explanation is necessary. That is what I call acceptance. Bravo.

Finally I had the time to upload a video I took at the concert. It's the Encore. I sat at the back of the balcony with Quietlion, so the view is not up close, but my intention is to capture the hands waving and standing O (almost) from above. Hope you enjoy it. Here's the youtube link, incase my video insert didn't work. youtu.be/hW8UVAj4zLYMy first youtube, hope it works.

the show must go on: queen + adam lambert rocked the joint in vegasExcerpt: For his part, Lambert—the “new kid”—prowled, strutted and preened across the stage like he owned it. Anyone who’s following Freddie Mercury can’t be a shrinking violet and Lambert certainly made this set his own, putting his own stamp on Queen’s daunting setlist. He was never more at home than with Killer Queen. Perched on a purple chaise and guzzling Moet & Chandon, Lambert was campy, theatrical, over-the-top and basking in music befitting both his vocal range and Broadway diva stage presence. For Lambert and the fans, Killer Queen was just one high point of many on this night; an obvious marriage of classic Queen and Lambert’s interpretation. Watching May work share the stage and clown with Lambert during Killer Queen, it was evident that he was truly enjoying the performance. Lambert also paid homage to Freddie with his vocal on a slower, rearranged version of Mercury’s solo song, Love Kills. But Lambert’s most soulful tribute to Mercury was during the powerful and emotional Who Wants to Live Forever. “Who dares to love forever, when love must die?” ....... With the exception of the youthful Lambert and Rufus Taylor, this retirement-aged group of stately Britsh gentlemen played with as much vigor, passion and emotion as any 20-something rock band out there today. It’s clear Lambert invigorated May and Taylor. They were clearly enjoying every moment of the show. There is no better way than this to honor the legacy of Freddie Mercury. The show must go on. Finally I got home after two wonderful weeks in the States. I don't wanna do a full recap of the concerts - some others did this so wonderful, I just want to say that all my expectations were exceeded and I am so glad that I did all those things that I had to do, to make this once in a lifetime experience come true for me. Both shows in Vegas were great, but it felt from the very first moment that the second show connected so much more with me emotionally. I had great seats on both nights (thanks to SophieB ) and I had the time of my life. When the second show ended on Sunday night it was such a mixture of feelings that I can't describe them. I was feeling a kind of loss that this experience was over and then there was also feeling of relief that it was over - because I couldn't have stayed on such an emotional high for much longer without simply passing out... When some rumours are true and QAL are coming to Europe I will surely be there - but right now I feel so satisfied with what I experienced that I really can enjoy all the threads of the other concerts. So many people are in right now for this big treat that I get teary-eyed... these are indeed wonderful times On the second night my friends lent me their small, tiny, itsy-bitsy camera and I tried to make some good pics - but on the inside I was swearing at the gods security that forbid me to bring my big camera in. Damn it! Here are some more pics: www.augenpoesie.de/index.php/blog/event/QueenAnd thank you grandduchess for the wonderful brunch - it was so good to see so many Atoppers! I wanna give a shoutout especially to Ladyoz and Quietlion... It's been great talking to you!
