Late posting. Still recovering from last night. Amazing show and wild crowd. So good to see so many Atop folks I haven't seen in some time. Thanks to those who've posted such great pics. Brought my camera but too packed in pit to get any good shots. Glad others did! It was so totally awesome to see you!! Can believe we haven't seen each other since Hammersmith. We need to get together more often than concerts. Miss ya!!

I'm new here and this is my first post. I just recently got introduced to this forum through a friend. About Bohemian Rhapsody. I took my whole family to the concert in LA and my two kids (18 and 21 yrs old) thought that Bohemian Rhapsody was the absolute highlight of the show. My son even tweeted about it. (Radio Gaga was a close second for them). sizzling63

Thank you Adam for this wonderful pic from M&G in Warsaw - one of the best TOHT concerts ever!

Talon, my husband thought the same. Found Adam too scripted when talking to the audience, not nearly as natural as when Brian was talking. I kind of agree; Adam is a wizard in interacting one on one, but I think he's more hard wired to perform for a audience rather than engage with them like he does with individuals. Oh well, he can't be perfect at everything! Isn't it funny how we all see things differently.

this is my first post- i have been lurking for some time now . My sister in Texas introduced me to this forum and is also a lurker lol. Have been following Adam since idol, when my daughter then in high school pointed him out cuz she thought he was good looking! Saw Glamnation tour with my 2 daughters, my texas sister and other friends and family 1x in CT. Had seats way too far back! Was a Queen hits fan but listened everyday to all songs Queen and studying Q3 and talon posts in preparation!! I went to the QAL concert at MPP with a friend of mine (Adam fan-always thought he should sing with Queen, Glee fan, not so much of his own music tho) my 2 daughters (20 & 22 yo) The 20 yo is a metal fan but likes Adam since idol but likes rock Adam, also loves Brians guitar playing and that he is an astrophysicist-she is a bit of a science nerd herself, and 22 yo (was the high schooler during idol) loves all sides of Adam, glee everything. My daughters had standing GA tickets with a friend of theirs and i had bought 2 VIP tickets- front row- my husband was the one to convince me to spend the money, he was going with me until a few weeks ago when he got training away for 5 weeks. Almost fainted when i saw the catwalk and thrust right in front of my seat! Met DancyGeorgia who sat next to me. I was so excited and nervous! The seats could not have been any better! The anticipation was thrilling. When the music started and Adam came out i said to my friend that i couldnt believe we were there! I have to say the sound of Adam's voice (and at time Brians) had that chipmunk effect to me, my friend couldnt tell but she doesn't listen to all his videos like i do. It was better when they were singing in the thrust but i have to say having Adam sooo close i really didn't care how he sounded or if he just stood there because he is more beautiful in real life -i was overwhelmed . I don't know how many times i said to my friend how gorgeous and hot he looked up close!! I asked DancyGeorgia after the concert about how he sounded and she said people hear him differently and that it was the best sound of all the concerts, so not really sure what that means re: my ears lol. Been watching the videos and they all sound normal to me- oh well- it was awesome all around and well worth every penny i spent! Stood most of the time (had also picked front row so i could sit if needed-bad back) but found myself standing- i wanted to be as close and involved as possible!! My friend thought the concert was awesome and Adam was gorgeous and great in this role. My daughters thought it was great also, my metal daughter took tons of pics of Brian! I think i am rambling- feeling the same excitement all over again writing this!! The venue was easier to access than i thought, had some logistic concerns with the hills and all with my bad back, but managed ok- weather could have been way worse for this time of year! thats it! i am nervous to post this Great first post kvk and a great recap. Just so you don't feel so alone, I want you to know that I hear chipmunk Adam at least 80% of the time. Videos just sound different. This has never stopped me from going to an Adam concert because, like you, I just soak up his presence and charisma. I am pretty sure that I could stare at him for hours. I have often wondered if some of the bad reviews are because the person hears Adam this way and doesn't bother to do any other research. I feel sorry for a reviewer that has chipmunk ears but no sympathy for someone who doesn't do their due diligence. I experienced the chipmunk sound when I went to a GNT concert. But this time, at Merriweather, I used the earplugs people here have recommended. I sacrificed some atmosphere because they filtered out the crowd noise and dropped the decibels, BUT Adam's voice and the music in total were wonderful. Would do the same again. This is the only show I can attend, but will certainly use the earplugs again when Adam does his A3 tour. And I am so happy to know that there will be both videos and audio. We are so spoiled to have the level of expertise and dedication that exists in this fandom!

kvk and sizzling63 I wore etymotic earplugs and got no chipmunk. My husband wore nothing Shocked!!!!in his ears and didn't complain about the chipmunk effect. I took my plugs out for some of WWTLF because I wanted to hear Adam unadulterated but it got too loud for me so I put them back in. We were in the part of the seating where the sound should have been perfect but it wasn't.

Thanks everyone for the welcome! Curly and evergreen. i was wondering about the earplugs now after the fact, didn't think I would like the muted sound that i thought i would be hearing so never bought any. didn't know it would help with the chipmunk effect! Next time i might give it a try (no next time planned at this time unfortunately-def. A3 tho). But if i get stuck with the chipmunk sound anyway i would still go see Adam love the smiley options!!

I tried the ear plugs for a while, but didn't like the sound. I wouldn't call what I heard at Mohegan chipmunk, but it was certainly heavy on the high frequencies.
