Bringing over a request from talon posted at the end of yesterday's thread: "Yes! I was on vacation! The unpacking is about 85% done and awaiting my arrival  . could anyone pm me links to recordings of full shows (audio or video). I piece together YT vids if I have to but I prefer full shows! I'd be very appreciative!" |

I have no big problem with the reviews. For the most part, they give Adam his proper due. I think the comparisons to Freddie are natural and to be expected. I think it's beautiful and stirring that the images of Freddie are shown and homage is paid to him. I have learned thru tough experiences that life is too short to be so perturbed over what I consider minor blips in the Adam landscape. I realize some feel differently. Adam is getting his due by 99% of the reviewers and the lucky concert goers love him and make it known loudly known. Because of certain life circumstances, I will never see Adam live, so the wonderful videos and pics and fan recaps and the reviews feed my soul. I am so thankful for Adam.  |

Oh how interesting! Thanks for sharing! I wonder what he meant when he said that this tour with Queen has made a difference.. any ideas? I'm not sure exactly. I'm sure the pure vocal talent is more evident with Queen, but for people that don't follow him the way we do here, it may be the realization that he isn't wearing so much make-up any more. I know that sounds funny, but that came up right after his comment about Queen and he said that the makeup was a problem for a lot of folks. We talked about that a little bit and how the ~community can be hard on their own. Those were my words, he said "hateful" was more like it. LOL We agreed that female diva's got off a lot easier than the gay guys trying to make it.  Agree... Like it or not...acceptance is always based on many things. The make - up has always been a talking point. Even on this thread, some prefer with, I like the natural Adam. Some of my extended family...who do not check out all the latest pictures were surprised re the natural look of late. After AMA , no interest, to 6 of that family attending the Calgary concert. And whether for my sake or not...thought it was "unreallllll!!!" It has taken a few years and casual mentions. I just sent some pics from the QAL tour to a girlfriend, after our Saturday night dinner. She phoned back and remarked how handsome he was without make- up. (often the pics that show up in our local paper are old pics and not always the flattering ones) She had no idea that he looked that good... and really fit! Lol. ( She is the GF I said in a post, saw Buble a week ago, and was honest to answer my question...that true, he was not always on pitch! ) When your DS talks of maturing.... Well Adam was a pretty free spirit in his 20's....he has grown up in many ways with the opportunities that have come his way. And, as a member of the LBGT community, he also grown in the past 5 years. ( most do grow up...thank gosh) |
