Thanks, guys, for replying to my question about melisma:))) If that is the case, then I freaking love his melismas

What does that mean? I think I am asking those of you who appreciate the style and understand how a "not a little lost" singer would sound....thank you! Nica...I have no idea what he means. I just wrote him off as another one who just prefers Freddie's style of singing to Adam's. That's OK. He can feel how ever he wants. I just thought 'Whatever!' and moved on. Maybe Cassie or someone can explain what this line means: I give him....a big.. Whatever Dude! Moving on!

The review is pretty fair. But I think Adam does really great with "Now I'm Here" and "Stone Cold Crazy". The latter could be speeded up, yes, but I thought it was their choice to make it slinkier. And I love his TYMD. The only songs I find strangely sluggish are AOBTD and IWIA. He used to do AOBTD with more aggression but maybe it needed to be calmer after the first two. Adam usually presents the essence of each song; that's what's so unusual about him and why he's a great frontman for this tour imo.
The melisma, meh. That's not an idol thing. Soo many singers do it. Whitney, Mariah, Christina. Even Ariana Grande. Beyonce's I find especially grating. I think Adam does it sparingly for QAL and it doesn't fit only on WATC imo.
I kind of like his peacocking during the call and response bit before Radio Gaga lol. When he sings a line basically no one but he could do.

I sometimes wish I didn't like so much the way he sings every song, so I would sound less like an indiscriminate flailing fan, but no... I love the way he sings each and every one of them:) You can write me off, I'm a goner.

I think what he means is that Adam has always had a more theatrical and classical voice which is not really suited for the down and dirty growl that SCC and TYMD ask for. Adam does them alright but he sings them almost too nice. He doesn't have the angry voice which is fine but it is what's somewhat missing. It doesn't mean he can't do it but it's not his strong suit.

I think Adam can sing anything, everything... And if he sings something the way he does, it's because he chooses so. It's his interpretation, as an artist.

I see...can;t argue with the "angry voice" idea.... still "lost" bears a different meaning to me... anyhooo... I am going to pick on all of you, folks, who keep talking about WATC riffs. Soooo, explain to me please how would YOU like to finish the concert? No culmination? No climax? No glory ending? No FIREWORKS? How can you take the song out of the concert context and talk about it as if it is a stand alone song? : To me the whole build up with the "we are the champions off" repeated several times with increasing degree of embellishment and volume IS THE WORTHY END TO THE SPECTACULAR SHOW! I can't even imagine any better way.

Will not see the show until MSG :( And there better be gold confetti there!
