I think what he means is that Adam has always had a more theatrical and classical voice which is not really suited for the down and dirty growl that SCC and TYMD ask for. Adam does them alright but he sings them almost too nice. He doesn't have the angry voice which is fine but it is what's somewhat missing. It doesn't mean he can't do it but it's not his strong suit. I see...can;t argue with the "angry voice" idea.... still "lost" bears a different meaning to me... anyhooo... I am going to pick on all of you, folks, who keep talking about WATC riffs. Soooo, explain to me please how would YOU like to finish the concert? No culmination? No climax? No glory ending? No FIREWORKS? How can you take the song out of the concert context and talk about it as if it is a stand alone song? : To me the whole build up with the "we are the champions off" repeated several times with increasing degree of embellishment and volume IS THE WORTHY END TO THE SPECTACULAR SHOW! I can't even imagine any better way. I used to think that I did not like the end riffs of WATC judging solely from videos, but they absolutely work live and help band reach the culmination of the encore! I will never ever forget how Roger inserted his power-fire drumming in between Adam's final riffs in my Calgary show! Spectacular finale and the best ending so far IMO!

Now there's an idea:))) Rufus favorited this tweet:))) Jan @janislandgirl @adamlambert can @ruttaylor1 please be your drummer for era 3. He is an amazing drummer & great chemistry! Love to C you two tour together i had the same thought since i saw them hanging out at the SF pride... Rufus would need a visa type allowing him to work in the US... not sure how easy it is to arrange but it would certainly be AWESOME!

I think Adam can sing anything, everything... And if he sings something the way he does, it's because he chooses so. It's his interpretation, as an artist. ITA. All one has to do is go back and listen to The Citizen Vein stuff..... or the crap session stuff he did that ended up being Beg For Money Mercy to hear him 'dirty' up his vocal. He chooses to sing 'cleaner' to protect his instrument IMO.

I'm sure Rufus could get a work visa no problem....that would be cool if he worked with Adam although selfishly I hope he convinces his father to out on a solo tour (or the log talked about Taylor and Taylor tour (roger and Taylor Hawkins). Of course that would make a Taylor and Taylor and Taylor tour ) As for the caterwauling being necessary.....freddie did it for years without it;). I'm really not trying to draw a comparison there...I simply mean that it definitely can work without it. I am getting more used to it but still prefer it more of an instrumental climax. I like the vocal pausing there and then a final of the world.... But that's just me! And it's a small complaint of :30 of 2 hours:)

But I do understand that people expect that in some songs to fit their perception of heavy rock and get disappointed when it is different. I love anything and everything he does, lucky me!

Adam does it HIS way.

TALCvids @talcvids 2h The Five Best Concerts In Houston This Week: Queen & Adam Lambert, New Edition, etc. blogs.houstonpress.com/rocks/2014/07/the_five_best_concerts_in_hous_6.php … via @hprocksoff
Queen feat. Adam Lambert Toyota Center, July 9The living members of Queen have always wanted to stay in the spotlight, it was always just a question of finding the right person to fill the massive shoes Freddie Mercury left behind. Luckily for them, Adam Lambert was picked for American Idol -- auditioning with "Bohemian Rhapsody" naturally -- and the only question was when the tour would actually take place. Five years later, it's here, and while no one will ever actually replace Freddie Mercury ("icon" isn't even a strong enough word to describe him), Lambert is about as good as we can expect to get while Brian May and Roger Taylor are still alive. For one night at least, we can all be champions once again. CORY GARCIA

I can't even imagine any better way. If the way for Adam to get the "gritty" "rock and roll" voice needed so people will give legitimacy to his performances of things like SCC is vocal damage (which is pretty much how it works - if Freddie hadn't died guessing he would probably have totally blown his voice out like Robert Plant etc have also done because they didn't sing with proper technique hence vocal damage hence gritty husky sound) - then I will take his slightly less pure versions because the flip side is I get WWTLF and Love Kills and a Wildest Moments etc etc etc.
