I haven't watched/heard all the vids fr Vegas#2 but from the few I've seen, I think i prefer Vegas#1 for Adam's performance over Vegas#2. Watching the vids (even with the on/off/on again stream) of Vegas#1 brought me to tears. Vegas#2 not as much. Ok also testing my new avi, since nearly everyone is adopting a pic fr this outstanding Tour! I thought the two performances were different but equally good. Saturday night Adam's vocal performance was as good as I have ever heard him -- particularly on STL, WWTLF and KQ -- and Saturday's TSMGO was really powerful, possibly the best TSMGO ever. But Sunday, he was having more fun on stage and a couple of the songs with more subtle vocals like "In the Lap of the Gods....Revisited" really stood out. And CLTCL was amazing. Just for comparison -- look at the Twirl Count! Saturday - he did 3 twirls in STL. Sunday - he did 5 twirls in STL. Note: I have not watched any video yet so my Twirl Count may be off a bit. Let's just say he was very lively on stage on Sunday. I had the opposite impression. haha :D Sunday vocals were offffffff the charts. Saturday vocals were greeeeat. The mic was tuned better on Sunday. Plus the Sunday audience was more into the show in upper sections.

Many people on my twitter feed said Vegas #2 "blew the first night away". They haven't explained why and I don't see much difference in the videos. Both nights looked fantastic! Maybe it's just that the more you see it the more you love it? If myspenser is here maybe she can explain because I'm curious. hmmm....because the LAST one is ALWAYS "THE BEST EVEAH!!!" isn't it? Can't speak for Myspenser50 or anyone else.... And I think both shows were great BUT if I have to pick I also would pick Sunday. But it is a bit like asking me to pick my favorite child. I think the difference was something that is hard to see in a video -- he was just hotter on Sunday, more playful on stage.

I am still puzzled as to why they agreed to do such a small venue... do you think there would be a special "profit" structure for casinos? May be a pre-set minimum that would bring the QP take on par with the large arenas?
( Aside from Saskatoon, the only venues with 10K or under are the casinos( Mohegan Sun X 2 and LV X 2) and Broadway Hall - not sure if it is associated with a casino....

A smaller venue must be a nice break for everyone performing. More intimate. A true connection. Road crew probably loves it too. And, Vegas is great, right?!

Maybe I shouldn't post this here? I thought it was funny though. And a word to the wise: Mark Fischel @markfischel 9h Queen show was amazing, although I did have to yell at the old Adam Lambert biddies behind me to stop talking during the Brian May solo. Q3 - delete if you want. No need to delete. But really, who would talk through Brian's solo!

The casino deals are very lucrative -- Bands get gross + at most of them. Mohegan Sun Arena full concert capacity is usually 10,000 -- they told me it will be slightly higher for Q+AL -- but official box score report will be around 9,800 -- there will be about 400 tickets to that one that will not be reported because they will not be sold (Casino hold). Atlantic City/Boardwalk Hall - concert capacity for full capacity concerts is around 11,784. They may only use about 9,500 seats here but they can go to 12,000 or a bit more if needed. Yes, the nearby casinos (particularly HeWhoCannot amed) have ticket deals for this venue and the are apparently in control of many of the great tickets here -- every other row up front. :(

This venue was a massive effort for the road crew. Brian said they set the new record for the venue -- with 9 trucks of equipment and staging here. (The old record was 8.) They scaled it down but this was the most elaborate production ever done at this venue. Usually it is plain stuff and lights. They also brought in their own sound equipment including the curved speaker hanging towers and the light wall and even rigged up the disco ball. This was probably the hardest stop on the tour for the crew with all the reworking they did. ETA -- it normally looks like this -- two video monitors on the sides of the stage, and lights. They put up the big video screen and ramps, and the light wall. And the ramp.... And most impressive -- they used both the venue's speakers and the Queen speakers. The sound mix and audio quality at this concert was amazing. >> The speakers obscured the view of the video screen for the people in some seats -- and the drums for the people on the 3rf I was on the side, VIP table on Saturday lined up right in front of the sound board so the sound was awesome. I was up front (row 2 with no one in front of me on Sunday ) -- and there was no distortion, everything was balanced perfectly which was a big, pleasant surprise!

I am in one of those seats (second row) and when I looked at my tickets and then the venue map, my seats didn't exist. I freaked out since I got them from a scalper that I never used before. I called the venue and they said for a concert they anticipate to sell out, they add those rows. I was so relieved AND I have great seats! ww2.mohegansun.com/entertainment/arena-seating-popup.html
