I'm in Detroit! What a drive - I-75 is one construction zone after another but the traffic moved. Looked for gold buses and black semi's all the way up. Getting ready to make a drive-by of The Palace. I have a crowd "thing" so am getting a little panicky about the sheer number of people who are going to be there but am THRILLED that the place is going to be PACKED. I can't believe that the wait is essentially over -- TOMMORROW!

I see some nice long posts (my favourite!!!) and interesting discussions on previous pages, but my head is literally ringing with links and reviews and percentages ( ), so I'll have to get back to them tomorrow. Also, I wanted to thank everyone once again for all the recaps, I've read and loved them all Kamar, I think you have found your niche, which is really incredible. Those recent cartoon pictures combine your love of drawing and your sense of humour, plus your style feels right there and fits really well on them. Good job!!!

I get annoyed when someone compares a current, relatively new performer's work with the catalog of music (or movies or books, etc.) of someone who has been around for thirty or forty years. Songs that are forgettable tend to be--well, forgotten, so people judge the seasoned performer only by those songs which have stood the test of time. "Instant classics" don't really happen that often. As has been mentioned here before, Queen wasn't always treated kindly by critics in their heyday. It's only in retrospect that they're acknowledged as having a wealth of great and classic songs. I think Trespassing is a brilliant album, and the best songs on it were those written by Adam. He's a really good songwriter, in my opinion. It's a shame that RCA didn't have enough faith in him to release his material instead of pushing the singles that were attempts to replicate the success of WWFM. Well said murly I totally agree. I am not an expert about singing, playing instruments or anything else to do with music, but I do know what I like and I love both of Adam's albums especially the songs he wrote they touch me and make me feel and I think that's what music should do.
