Ok, he starts late vocalizing because he probably can't hear. Just a bunch of ooh yeahs. He is fooling with his mic pack as he walks up behind Roger and finally just has to go for it because whatever he's trying to fix the sound isn't working.

So he skipped lines here and there but brought all to a halt about 30 seconds or so over normal. He did not sing anything about not being able to hear contrary to what was reported.
