I am neither for or against tattoos in general and yes they can be tacky but I appreciate that every single one of Adam's tattoos has deep meaning to him even if he never completely explains that to us. He has demonstrated that he always has a reason for all of the tattoos that he gets. I don't really think the tattoos are to cover up freckles as the very first one he got was on the inner wrist where there are no or very few freckles. He has also repeatedly talked about loving the artwork of tattoo sleeves. He's not just willy nilly drawing crap on his body but he is painting a story on his body that has meaning to him. A permanent record of important aspects of his life. That in itself is beautiful to me. Well said rihannsu. I withdraw the venom but still sad to see the skin go away. His body, his preferences are what counts.

I agree with Mys*&@^#r....it looks "tribal" to me and it looks complete to me as well. That symbol looks familiar to me....but I can't place it. Waiting on a ninja to ID it. Right now it looks like a little shelf/frame to support/highlight that developing bicep. lol
Rihannsu........Yes, well said and I totally agree.

If you've missed listening to Finnish spoken by Sauli... (not sure if you can see them) Two videos, interviews with BB hosts Sauli and Mari. In the first one Mari mentions Adam. They have known each other for several years even before Sauli won BB in 2007. She says Sauli is a wonderful person, very warm and empathetic and adds that he also has some stardust rubbed into him when living in the great big world (ie Hollywood where there are lots of stars) and being with Adam. Later on she says again that Sauli is warm and good with people, establishes quickly a friendly contact and thinks he'll be just perfect for the job. www.mtv.fi/viihde/ohjelmat/big-brother/uutiset/artikkeli/mari-sainio-bb-kollegastaan-saulissa-on-tahtipolya/3750350www.mtv.fi/viihde/ohjelmat/big-brother/uutiset/artikkeli/video-bb-juontajat-paljastavat-nain-kayttaisin-voittopotin/3866074And a piece in 'Me Naiset' magazine. Here's the content (not word for word). Sauli is excited for the BB season and says BB Extra will be like him: relaxed and fun with good feeling. BB winner this year gets double the prize money compared with his season. He says his prize was a lot of money at the time, he didn't spend it right away but used it for travelling and living expenses for some time. LA is his home where he returns after BB. He finds it great that this time visiting Finland is not only straight to work but he has time to really be with family and friends, attend festivals, spend time on a summer cottage and swim. Last autumn during DOI he lived with friends but now he has his own place in Helsinki. Earlier he was very particular with his home and its tidiness, even remote controls were immaculate. Nowadays he's more like a free spirit and nothing holds him back - there's no emotional ties to stuff anymore. He's got more interested in physical exercise and healthy diet, been doing gym work-out, running, hiking, climbing, played badminton and tried aerial acrobatics. He thinks his life is more balanced now than for example in 2007. Then he could spend his money to something and eat noodles but now he values healthy food, has used one juicer 'to death'. However, he keeps sundays free to eat anything and enjoy treats (delicacies). www.menaiset.fi/artikkeli/ajankohtaista/ihmiset/sauli_koskinen_olen_nykyaan_vapaa_sielu_eika_minua_pidattele_mikaan

My son is Adam's age, he has tats and most of his friends do too, both men and women. It's a very common form of self expression for their generation. I asked my son about it and not only is it the design, there is also meaning in the process. My son did place his tats where a shirt would cover them so as not to offend the sensibilities of "old folks" when he's in the office. (he is a software engineer) It does remind me a bit about how uptight older generations were when guys started having long hair back in the day. I can still hear "you look like a girl"

Many moons ago, when Adam said he wanted to get a tattoo sleeve, my thought was " Nooooooooooooo!!!!" But, to my surprise, I've enjoyed watching the sleeve develop and I find it intriguing. I'm eager to see what the new tattoo represents. Adam Lambert: Opening Minds Since 2009.

I posted the same at the end of yesterday's thread, I hope the new tat is not the tail end of a snake....I'd be so creeped out I know, I know, it's his body.... But, but if in that one in a million chance I meet him I'd be too creeped out to approach him...the other snake is all mashed up with other stuff so does not stand out so starkly. I so agree -- I've come to better terms with my snake phobia but it's still very present. I think Adam may have helped along the way as I had to look to see the FYE video and then, of course, the cover of RS. Years ago, I wouldn't have even been able to walk by the magazine stand with that RS cover on display. Once while visiting the Natl Zoo I ventured into the snake house to confront my fears. Talk about a total meltdown. Halfway through I grabbed onto my dh's belt, closed my eyes and had him lead me out of there yelling, "just go, just go, just go" -- funny thing was, there were a number of people in there who truly understood.
I'm hoping the new tattoo is something tribal -- Rufus had a nice celtic one, I think. I hope what we are seeing is not the bottom of something like this:

I remember years ago when we took a plane from Tahiti to Paris. All these young men from Tahiti, who were going to serve in the military in France had tattoos all over their bodies. We found out that it was the norm for Tahitians to have their family history tattooed on their bodies. This was way before tattoos became popular here.

I also love that each one has a deep meaning to him. None are just a "cool design or pic" to him. I think the placement of this new tattoo even shows that he is VERY happy with his body at this time. It is perfectly placed to accentuate that left bicep! Will look hot as f*ck with those leather vests on! ETA: Bamafan! I typed that ^^ before I read your post! Yes to highlighting that bicep!!

The tattoo looks like a complete, symmetrical shaped symbol to me. Not the tail end of anything. Looks "tribal" to me. Hope he isn't "cultural appropriating!" Maybe that whole rant was about his soon to be revealed tattoo!! And how fun is it that he is shopping for something for his new house! Warms my heart and makes me so happy for him! #BSC My guess is, when finished, it will be a nod to his Norwegian ancestry. Looks like the beginning of a Viking ship, similar to the ones on my t-shirt bought at a Sons of Norway fair. NGL....when I first looked at it, "smile" immediately came to mind. I kept expecting his arm to start talking, like a cartoon..."Hiya, kids! Hiya! Hiya! Hiya!" #timetoputdowncuppacoffeeandstepawayfromkeyboardGood morning. I get such a kick out of reading Atoppers reactions to something Adam does. I love this place...it's PRICELESS!! I laughed out loud, dontshakemytree, when I read the part above I highlighted.

Interesting you say this because Hawaii and/or Tahiti was exactly what I thought of when I first saw this tattoo. It looks very familiar!
