Oh, good one -- There are two entendres in that line.....bet it was written by Freddie! He was more subtle than Adam but there are many of these in Freddie's lyrics -- and this song was mostly written by Freddie. (He talked about SCC a bit in an interview in 1975 about "Sheer Heart Attack" -- but mostly spoke about its origin.) Rainy afternoon I gotta blow a typhoon and I'm playing on my slide trombone
Ha ha ha. I never noticed that one. Only took 40 years of listening to that song. ETA: Adamrocks, you may or may not want to include this one on the list for your brother. Depends on his attitudes! ETA: picture Sam Smith doing that, heh.NO THANKS

"6. A really solid backing band with musicians who can sing."
This may be the most important issue on the band discussion. Having so many band members who can do only thing really does limit what the group and Adam can do as whole.

Someone explained Sam's sex appeal perfectly to me! He is sexless. This generation's Barry Manilow. Threatening to no one! I think Barry is way more sexy than Sam. Here is Barry doing his famous sexy dance.... youtu.be/XtxuYjUoiEs** I think Sam Smith has a really pleasant voice, Brit soul singers are really popular right now (timing is everything), and he has written some excellent songs. I will go to see him live when I have a concert near me.

Just glanced through dozens of online articles about current 'IT' boy, Sam Smith (whom I enjoy and whose music I own)................ not one started with 'openly gay'. Every article begins with lines like 'buttery voiced soul singer' ...... 'emotive Brit neo-soul singer'. Why is this? Is it because he has chosen to come out in a much quieter way? Is it because his sexless, average looking, everyman image (and music) appeals more to the mainstream? Probably "sexless" is a key descriptor here and also maybe British because, you know, those crazy guys from across the pond ... what do you expect. o.0 cough cough crazy person from across that pond ! but only thae top half or thae wee bit aff tae the left sam smith borin beyond belief ,dont get it and its not anything to do with us we got bowie freddie ,boy george jimmy somerville ,and many others ,we are COOL,, wer mostly bloody freezin
