Really? huh.. eta: old history but I remember at my son's high school they would not play We Are The Champions because Freddie was gay. Oh, we definitely cannot use that word where I work. There are many different people from many different countries and many different cultures where I work. And being respectful of all these cultures means going with the least common denominator of acceptable language. Remind me sometime to tell you the story about when we used a ballroom edit of Prince's song "Cream" for a Cha-Cha dance demo. That's wh en I learned to look everything up in the urban dictionary beforehand. but.. but.. cream always rises to the top!!!

Of all the things in this world for people to get upset about the use of the word fuck (or any tense or derivative thereof) would be so far down my list of things as to not even rate. In other words (where is that great image gif that Seoulmate has about two fucks to give)... Not to mention it is the most versatile word in the universe... so expressive. Is nearly everyone's favorite swear word (just watch a few episodes of the Actors Studio) and is clearly one of Adam's AND the use of swearing has also been shown to reduce pain and stress. What's not to love. I seriously could care less if he uses it in concert, in songs or has it on a tshirt. Of course all opinions expressed are solely my own others will certainly feel differently.

If only Adam had written, "Walk that walk like you don't give a hoot"....... oh the possibilities!

For those reading who have a similar attitude about the "f word" check out this hilarious YT. For our international viewers, the format, narration and the squiggles on the screen are designed to mimic the educational films we oldtimers used to see in school. They were outdated, spliced together in a hundred places where the film had broken, and scratched from thousands of repeated playings. The narrator sounds like every narrator ever used. Those who are uncomfortable with hearing the "f word" do not press play. Seriously.

Oh my. I hope they don't infiltrate my sidebar as the Versace underwear did!

Language is not dirty or offensive - our perception of it can be, though. It's all in your mind, hunty. If you choose not to be offended by a word, then it is not offensive.

We all make choices everyday. Sometimes our choices are influenced by how we are raised, how we are treated, by what we see, hear , or feel, etc. We become desensitized many times when we are bombarded with offensive material. Beheading, war, offensive words, whatever - we are being desensitized on a daily basis. In some ways, we are being bullied to accept things that are not really right or the best for us.
Smack downs on ATOP occur on a daily basis and tend to discourage intelligent discourse.
